1940-1950 Soda Fountain Shop Porcelain Containers & Heavy Brass Syrup Dispenser
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to stop by! Up for auction are two 1940-1950 era soda fountain ceramic syrup con tainers(both in mint cond ition) and a chocolate syrup dispenser. The tall porcelain container is a Lip pincott. But the smaller on e is a n Abingdon#916( stamped on the bottom) The small container had a metal lid that could be raised and syrup. Fruit, etc. was sc o oped out with a ladle. There are some si lver colored marks on the porcelain from contact w ith metal parts. B ut it is in exc ellent shape and clean in side. It measures about 7-1/2" tall. By 7-1/2" long( top portion- body of the container is only 6-1/2" long) By 4-1/8" deep(lid- body portion is 3-5/8" deep) The opening at the top is an oval that measures ~ 4-5/8" long, by 3" wide(in side measurements) On the front of t he Lip ... morepincot t container. It says, LIPPINCOTT PATENTS M ANUFACTURED BY THE PUFFER MFG. CO. BOSTON B-1. This one has several measurements. Beca use it is not uni form in size(see pictures) But is a total of 12-3/8" tall, by 7" wide at its wide st point. And 3-7/8" deep. The round opening at the top is 3" in diameter. The brass dispenser is in great working condition. But some of the chrome plating around t he handle has been worn off and the brass is showing through. The dispenser has"cho colate" on t he porcelain button. But it is faded. This dispenser does not fit either of the porcelain containers listed above. It is the right length for the Lippincott. But will not fit the opening. Each of these'5 0's soda fountain items are in excellent condition! They would be p erfect for a desert bar or ice cream parlo r! Thank you for visiting my au cti on!

It stands about 8 ¼” Tall and has a Bowl Diameter of about 2 3/8” The Diameter of the Top Circle– where it says“Strawberry” is about 1 5/8” including the Chrome area. The Strawberry ... morePrint or Writing seems to be on White Porcelain. The Main portion of the Spoon is some kind of Metal– I have no idea what it is– but it looks as though if someone wanted to– it could probably be cleaned up beautifully– kind of like Silver Plate– although I don’t know if that’s what it is. It feels good when holding it like a quality piece as it does have nice weight to it. The Upper Portion which bears the Strawberry Writing seems to have been made of Chrome. It is very sturdy. I have no idea as to its age– maybe 1940’s? This is just a guess. There is age related discoloration which should clean up nicely if someone wants to do that. I’ll just leave as is for the new owner to care for it as he/she sees fit. Aside from the age-related patina to the finish. One of the syrup dispensers says Hall on the bottom. All have makers marks with numbers but I am not sure if they are all Hall ceramic or not. They have a nice high gloss black finish. Overall they are in great condition with a few chips in the ceramic here and there. One has a hairline crack on the inside but does not leak. One of the pumps appears to be missing a part but the others I tested worked well and shot a good steady stream of water. These are vintage items probably dating back to the the 1930's to 1950's. c1930 Large 16" Porcelain Soda Fountain Dispenser w Silver Plate Coca Cola Pump
This is a very early and unusual Coca Cola soda fountain syrup dispenser. The container is made of a heavy. Thick porcelain and has no maker's mark. The pump has a silver plated top and spout with a silver metal mechanism(which I believe is Monel®, but more on that later) I was able to find the original patent application for the pump which was filed on July 21. 1930. The challenge was to find a stable metal that would be unaffected by the acidity in the different syrups the pump was designed to dispense. From the original patent application, This invention relates' to dispensing pumps and more particularly to the type of dispensing pump used in soda fountain equipment for dispensing Syrups and the like. It is very desirable to employ a pump for dispensing liquids. Such as syrups, constructed of such metal that will provide long ... morelasting and non-wearing bearing surfaces, particularly for the piston and piston housing, and which in addition will not have a decolorizing effect on any colored syrup. Heretofore pumps of the character used for dispensing syrups have frequently been constructed of tin, aluminum and aluminum alloy castings and it has been found that such metals contain elements which act with the ingredients thereof and change the color. In certain kinds of Syrups, such as those containing acid, the acids act on these metals and cause the same to be eaten away. Another object is to provide.a liquid dispensing pump which can be manufactured of a metal that will not so affect the liquid being dispensed as to decolorize and destroy the quality of the same. The patent applies for the use of a metal called"Monel" which was invented in 1906. Monel is a nickel-copper alloy that contains about 1/3 copper. It is known for high resistance to corrosion and is very strong. It is currently used mostly in aerospace applications. Pretty interesting. Eh? LOT (3) VINTAGE HALL SODA FOUNTAIN SYRUP DISPENSERS BLACK PORCELAIN #597 USA
I have for auction a vintage set of three Hall Soda Fountain Syrup Dispensers with their Flip Up Lids. These three dispensers are used and show wear and scuffing. There are no cracks or chips in the well but there are chips around the outer lips obviously from carelessly replacing in the well after cleaning. Since these are black they are very easy to cover with a marker. There is one chip on the white lip top inside and on the same one a hairline that does not go thru and is not in the well area(see picture 11) The stainless tops all fit well and articulate well. They show use scuffing. All in all these dispensers are in pretty good vintage used condition but please look over the pictures well. I have provided every angle I could to allow you to zoom and enlarge to truly discern the condition of these pieces. Each is marked Hall and the ... morenumber B 597 B in a diamond and Made In USA. c1930, RARE Set 8 Porcelain Soda Fountain Syrup Dispensers w SILVER PLATE TOPS
This is a set of very early and unusual soda fountain or ice cream parlor syrup pump dispensers and scoops. The 8 containers are made of a heavy. Thick porcelain and have no maker's mark. The pumps have silver plated tops. Not stainless or chrome. In my research on these items, I haven't seen another set that was silver plated! The scoops are silver plated throughout. The pumps have silver plated covers on top and a silver metal mechanism which I believe is Monel® below. The pumps are hallmarked by the Hull Manufacturing Company. There are no other hallmarks. The 4 syrup dispensers are marked: Sarsaparilla Coca Cola Lemon Pineapple The 4 scoop canisters are marked: Butterscotch Caramel Marshmallow Cherry The pumps have not been tested with liquid. But all push down, release up and are believed to be working. Many of the porcelain ... morecanisters have been repaired and no longer have any chips around the opening. 3 of the 4 scoop containers have been repaired around the opening, 2 of the 4 syrup containers have been repaired around the opening. One of the syrup dispensers still has a flake on the top edge. There are small, minor chips elsewhere on a few of the pieces. All of the tops have been polished except one scoop top which has been left tarnished to show the rainbow patina only seen on silver, not chrome or stainless. There is some wear to the silver plating on several of the tops where the base metal is showing through. The set is very heavy. Weighing over 60 lbs before box and packing. I believe it will ship in 3 separate cartons, so my shipping charges will be very high but are fully included in the listed price. Antique Hall Pump & Ladle Soda Fountain Dispenser Art Deco Porcelain B597 B596
Here we have a great Trio of Antique Hall Pump& Ladle Syrup Soda Fountain Dispenser. They were made in the USA. The stainless tops are styled in Art Deco. It's Porcelain pottery models B 597 B 596. The tops seem to be in stellar shape with no major dents or bends in the metal. 2 of the porcelain holders are in stellar shape too with a few light scratches or chips, the pump porcelain is in great shape too. One of the ladle dispensers is in rough shape with it missing a piece at the bottom corner and a piece broke off at the top. But,it was glued back together and the top will make it disappear. The good thing is, if you put it in the rear or paint the front, you cant tell the difference. Another great thing to these. The pump still works great and can push through syrup still. They are hard to find and with the pump still working without ... moreneeding repairs is rare too. The pump and one ladle have labels of Lime and Pineapple.
