This type of soda fountain produces the very best soda quality. Since it is pre-mixed from the factory. The vast majority of soda fountains found in convenient stores are the post-mix variety, which really is quite a bit cheaper to supply lots of soda, but the quality is almost always compromised because the water that mixes with the soda concentrate is just tap water from the city that goes through some filters. Plus the equipment for the post-mix is much bulkier, heavier, and less portable for for temporary food vending setups. This setup uses a built-in cold plate which rapidly chills the soda as it dispenses by means of the ice that you load into the built-in ice bin, so ... morethere is no electricity needed to use this soda fountain. That can be a major advantage when you are working from a limited power supply such as a portable generator or a long extension cord. You will need some additional ice to compensate for the ice melting on the cold plate though. But as long as you account for that extra ice, it will not be a problem.
