RARE COPPER FINISH Vintage 1955 KitchenAid Mixer (Hobart) 3 C bowl & manual
KitchenAid introduced new colors in 1955. Including chrome and copper, the latter two were more expensive and fewer were produced and were more expensive. Manufactured by the Hobart Mfg. Co. Troy, Ohio. This mixer is in very good WORKING condition. The power cord is fully intact with no cracks or breaks, the cord does not heat up with the machine running. Dimensions: 13 1/2 inches tall. Base is 12 inches front to back and 7 1/2 inches across. The locking plate on the base is completely intact and the bowl locks securely into it. The beater clears the bottom of the Pyrex bowl as recommended in the manual. Which is in very good condition, the bottom front corner is dog-eared. The motor runs smoothly through all 10 speeds. The accessory access port is clean- with lubricant- and the securing knob is intact with no damage to the threads. The finish ... moreon most of the mixer is in good condition. There are areas. Which I have attempted to show in the photos, where too vigorous cleaning/polishing with an abrasive, has worn away some of the copper finish. THE LAST PHOTO SHOWS THE AREA WITH THE MOST WEAR. There are some fine scratches and marks on the finish which are from normal. Expected wear on an appliance that was used but cared for and it is 59 years old. Today for sale is a hobart VCM- 450 vertical mixer. It was in use a while back but the store had closed and we purchased this from the sale. It looks to be functional but we cannot test the unit as we do not have 3phase to hook it up to. But overall really clean. Has the wheels which is a 150+ add on. Has some blades inside but not sure if it's all there. The side casing for the switch has been cracked and attempted repair it looks. And the top lid has a crack in it. You will also receive the rare 1925 Hobart wide mouth pelican head attachment with the original green latch& copies of the patent papers. It does not come with a slicing/grater blades. The pelican attachment will fit only some machines as the hub pins are different per model& year. And it fits this mixture like a glove! I believe it was originally designed for the coveted Model F mixer of the early 20's. Please note: it will fit one of my Professional 600 series mixtures and not fit the same series of different year. Two bowls, wire wisk, mixing paddle, and a VERY rare slicing attachment for vegetables. The wooden veggie pusher is there as well. This particular attachment is very rare because you just don't find many of them and they can be broken if not installed properly. There ARE different shredder blades available for this unit, but only the slicer blade is included here. The machine works. As stated, BUT the cord needs a bit of work to be completely failsafe. During testing, there was no interruption in power, so maybe just a little more ... moretape is good enough for you. If you couldn't see it in the pictures, I wanted to at least point it out here. Overall. The unit is pretty clean with just some dirt and grime here and there in some of the smaller crevices. There are a few tiny nicks in the paint as well. I do not see any rust. I am not a professional baker nor am I a repairman/serviceman/mechanic. So regarding items such as this: I may miss some detail. Hobart H-600T 60qt mixer: no attachments no bowls.
Selling my H-600-T 60 qt Hobart Mixer. Reason: I have two and really only need one. I bought it just in case I needed another but Hobart mixers are the industry standard for a reason. They are very reliable. This one came out of our donut shop. It works perfect but does not have a bowl guard! It does not come with any bowl or mixers/whisk/etc. You will still need those. Lot of 2 Hobart Univex Kitchenaid commercial Mixing Mixer attachments steampunk
I have these mixing attachments up for sale. I do not know the type of commercial mixer they are used for or what quart bowl they go with. I believe it has to be either a Hobart or a Univex type. I am selling them as a pair because they fit the same machine. Which I can tell because of the way they appear to hook up. The whisk one is missing a wire or two and is kind of twisted a little as can be seen in the pictures above. Someone could also use these and make some cool kind of steam punk art. Perhaps a couple of cool lamps or something. The longest point on the paddle style bit is 15" the widest point on this one is 9 3/4" For the whisk style one the longest dimension on this is about 14" The widest part is about 8.5" These could possibly be for a 30 qt 40 qt or 50 qt mixer. I am unsure as I have stated. I dont see anything ... moreas far as a number or brand name. Please only bid if you plan on paying within 48 hrs of auctions close.
