A vintage KitchenAid Hobart model FC food grinder/ meat chopper. Will fit any Kitchen Aid stand mixer with the standard attachment hub. Includes aluminum body. Auger, and end cap, steel plates and four-blade knife, wooden pusher, paperwork, and box. In addition to the normal coarse and fine plates, this unit comes with an extra fine plate that was available as an additional accessory. This grinder features the rectangular feed and a metal body that is much more durable than the newer plastic ones. Grinder is used. All attachments in good used working order some wear and scratching on bowl, none of which interferes with performance in the slightest. Mixer motor in good working order runs well, paint is worn in some places and the lever lift for bowl does not lift well it sticks and sometimes stops. 70's Vintage K45SS KitchenAid Mixer By Hobart
Sounds like I'm selling a car. But honestly, this was owned by a 98 year old Lady who was single her whole life, and she bought it in the late 70's. It has been in our cupboard since her passing in 1997. I've only used it a few times. It is almost too precious to let go, but I don't bake like I used to. It needs a home where it will get used and loved for it's awesomeness and power. KitchenAid continues to stand the test of time, and this mixer is no exception. Whether you are mixing up a cake, making bread or pizza dough, or whipping up your favorite creamy dessert, this mixer is the machine for you. The S-601 has three speeds. Turn machine off before switching speeds. Requires lubricant periodically. There are three restaurants in our area that have similar or older Hobarts. They all leak lubricant a little with use(and have since they were made in the 1950’s) most food purveyors carry the food-grade lube. There is a window on the side to see oil level. You must raise or lower the bowl with the wheel to desired depth. Cheese grater works great& we use it every day. We had a small crack in the cast aluminum. But had it welded(see photo) We recommend checking it when it arrives. The weld is not guaranteed, so you may need to re-weld after delivery in case it cracks during shipment. Also. Notice that the base has been welded. The cast iron had a hairline fracture. The base has been welded by a professional welder who specializes in welding cast iron. It has been welded from the top and from the bottom while raised on a lift. The mechanics have been inspected by professionals at Phoenix Used Restaurant Equipment, and any necessary repairs were made before we purchased. Hobart V1401DD - 80 Quart Mixer w/ 5 HP Motor - Stainless Bowl & Hook - Refurb.
Welcome to MARCH EQUIPMENT The Midwest's Premier Pre-Owned Restaurant Equipment Dealer Serving the USA and Rest of World No. My posting title is NOT a misprint, you read it correctly, this is, indeed, a Hobart V1401DD 80 quart mixer. In other words, it has the same model number as Hobart's 140 quart mixer, but it uses an 80 quart bowl and attachments. The key is that"DD" in the model number. It stands for Dunkin' Donuts. It is my understanding that the DD models are made up of the traditional V1401 body and its exclusive 5 hp motor, but setup with an 80 quart bowl and hook, instead of a 140 qt. bowl and hook. So, essentially, this mixer is a Hobart M802(their 80 quart mixer) with a 5 horsepower motor. Our V1401DD comes with a stainless steel 80 quart bowl and an 80 quart dough hook attachment. The batches this unit can ... morehandle might be smaller. But, because of that monster motor, it can take on the heaviest doughs with aplomb not seen in most, if not all, other 80 quart mixers on the market. Besides the smaller bowl and attachment size, the rest of this mixer is pure V1401. This means you get the aforementioned Hobart-designed 5 hp motor, a 4-speed geared transmission, and a power bowl lift. This V1401DD runs on 200V, 3 phase electricity. We've just left the wires coming out of the electrical box. You have the option of wiring it up direct to a box or putting on a cord and plug that works in your location. Lastly. To answer an often asked question, yes, you can turn this mixer into a true V1401 140 quart unit. However, it's not a cheap conversion. In addition to having to have a 140 quart bowl and attachment, you need to order the following parts from Hobart to modify the mixer to accept the 140 quart bowl and attachment: bowl alignment pins- retainer- bowl clamps- agitator shaft Those are the main parts off the top of my head.
