Scale only lights up when weight is placed on tray. Works excellent. Scale returns to almost zero probably needs calibration and lubrication. Should work perfectly. Has four adjustable feet and level indicator, Scale measures 13 1/2"w x18"l x14 1/2" h and tray measures 11" x17" Nice scale with great 50's early 60's look in excellent condition great addition to your store.
