The small cupboard with the four strawberries on the front had the berries painted over with a grey blue at one time. The strawberries are faded from the removal of the paint. This cabinet also has a chip on the top right side(see photo) There are slight variations of the yellow and white color of the plastic from the different pieces. The white top and front of the 2 door cabinet is not as bright white compared to the white of the 3 door cabinet. The chairs have paint scratched off of the seats, one more so than the other. Antique butcher block table. Block is 30"x30"x12" thick. Table stands 30" high. This is out an old slaughter house in Galesburg il. Probably 1940's or 50's. Unknown manufacturer. Solid maple top with all original rods and covers. Turned legs. A basic oil finish with a beautiful patina. Very nice condition. Probably never saw much use commercially because the top is nice and flat. So this table is a useable piece. Really cool rustic looking table. 4 Black Painted Wood Table Legs Salvaged Furniture Parts Repurpose Butcher Block
Set of 4 salvaged wood table legs. Butcher block/ farmer style. I do not know what kind of wood they are. My guess is solid wood because 1) they seem very hard and 2) they are pretty heavy(about 3.5 lbs apiece) They are finished with a matte black paint that is worn and scuffed in places(see photos) Condition is good but used. Each has two long screws sticking out of the top for attachment to table apron. Each leg measures about 28.75 inches tall. And the top/ square part is about 3 inches across(see photos) The bottom of each is round in shape, with a small hole that could hold a caster wheel, and is just under 1.5 inches across. Condition: With some indentation to the top from use. Provenance: Acquisitions, Charleston, SC. 47" high, 48"wide and 21 1/2" deep. The top has been completely sanded smooth. Nice and even it appears to have a couple of(Dutchmen” fitted spliced in pieces of wood) in its top surface by this gentleman while under his watch THIS SURFACE“VERY” CLEAN*Three(3) out of the four sides of the butcher block are also sanded as clean as the top surface. However the forth(4 th) side still has to be worked- sanded as there is residue of what appears to be old glue from ... morewhich I presume must be left from something that was attached. Perhaps some sort of backsplash- back board allowing for an easy clean-up when this work table was in active use… This butcher block top measures approx. 2-5/8” thick x 70-3/4” x 30” THE BASE: 67” x 28” cleat to cleat approx. measurements x 31” tall base alone/ The base has the original older painted surface. If one appreciates this look it is a battle ship grey that has aged nicely. Kind of an old washed out look with white paint peeking through. this painted surface could perhaps be preserved to enjoy that old look. There are two mounting cleats at the top of the base one of which has an old“sliver” of wood missing… this will not be seen when top is in place. One leg has an early scarf joint? Like repair that is evident but this early repair is on a back leg and is solid and sturdy! Butcher block style work table-4 sided w pull thru drawer-island----15051
This is really an interesting piece. Haven't had one like it before. French, I think, it is a butcher block work table. Interesting because it has a drawer which will operate from either side making it useful as an island in the kitchen or possible a sewing room. Additionally, the other two sides have heavy iron towel style bars. Overall about 36"high and 33 square. Also has a nice stretcher on the bottom for storage. Note the butcher block is'end grain' rather than plank style-and is 2.75 inches thick. It also has alternating light and dark woods which give it a pleasing appearance. Solid Maple Butcher Block original Meat Cutting table with solid oak legs. Used briefly by butcher. Treated professionally to kill bacteria and polished for use as furniture. Excellent condition. Top measures: 30" long x 18" wide by 10" thick. Legs are 20" tall. Height of table top is 30" from floor. Made in Kingston NY in mid 1900's by the Quality Maple Block Co. Excellent for use as kitchen island or as table in any room of the house.

Jens Quistgaard Dux Mid Century Danish Modern Reversible Tray Table Teak Butcher
Danish modern table that is not signed but is attributed to Jens Quistgaard. My understanding is that it was Produced by Richard Nissen. C. 1960, and distributed by Dux. Tray table of staved teak with teak legs by Jens Quistgaard. The top is reversible. Either using the flat surface or the dish shaped side. Like most of Quistgaard's designs in teak, this piece is made of solid staves of teak laminated together to form a butcher block style construction. The tabletop is reversible and is concave on one side revealing the layers of teak, and flat on the other. The flared solid teak legs give the piece a unique grounded effect and a charming esthetic. A great addition for any Quistgaard collector or to any modern living environment. Measures 17 1/4" tall. The top is 19 5/8" in diameter, and if measuring the width from the outsides ... moreof the legs where they touch the floor, it is 22" across. Sits pretty tight to the floor but there is a little wobble. You may want to have it reglued. In pretty good overall condition with some signs of use. Some water spots on two of the legs, light scratches on all of the legs, what looks like fading toward the top of three of the legs, light scratches on both sides of the table top, scratches around the rim of the table top and the flat side of the table has what looks like faint water marks. I have not oiled, polished or even wiped it down. I'm photographing it exactly has found. Looking closer I also see what looks like a pen mark in the shape of a hook on the flat side of the table plus some places where the varnish has air under it and appears to be bubbled. For most purposes, my opinion is that the table is fine in its present condition buy I know that some of you prefer that your furniture look brand new and in that case I would suggest a light refinishing. If you would like more close up pictures I'm glad to provide. Just send a message. The legs will be removed for shipment. Reassemble will require a flat head screwdriver to replace the two screws. Ta
