This elegant Wade& Butcher razor is dated to the reign of King William IV(1830-1837) by style of blade and tang. The shape of the scales and the obvious crown and"WR" stamp. There is a nice even smooth patina on the entire blade. The front of the shank has a crown and"WR" and Wade& Butcher stamped on it. There is a nice curve to the spine with matching smile on the blade. Blade width is 6/8. The graceful scales are black horn. Most likely dyed.

Antique Two Handled Hide Scraper, Butcher's Tool
On Offer, an unusually nice unusual two handled forged steel hide scraper. The scraper is in excellent condition with very little rust and no corrosion on the blade. One wooden handle has some small holes from incest damage and a seasoning crack. The right handle appears to have been replaced(Grain of the wood not as tight and the turning is a little rougher. SHEAR STEEL, SHEFFIELD ENGLAND. this knife has wooden handles and is12 3/4 inches long with a 8 inch blade. knife is very old and used. blade appears fine but some use wear on handle. see pics. Vintage Butcher's Knife 17" Aluminum Handle Home Made? Large Blade
Here is a neat. Old butcher's knife. I assume it was a butcher's knife, I guess it could have been used anywhere. I have never seen an aluminum handle like this before. This knife measures just over 17" overall. The blade alone is almost 13" It has no names or markings that I can see. It is a sturdy, well made knife. The blade has a pretty good edge on it now, it should sharpen nicely. It is slightly bent in the center of the blade, it can be straightened out. This is a great old knife, to use or collect. I ship using USPS Priority mail. I will combine multiple wins. I ship once or twice a week, not everyday. Please be aware shipping costs have gone up recently.
