This folder is a friction fed mbm 352 folder. We dont have the space for it anymore. Thats why we are selling it so cheap but it also does need some work. It has duck tape on the roller as seen in the pictures, but it will run and fold fine. These are three different roller bars for a MBM 352 paper folder these rollers come right off the machine they have normal wear the machine was taken apart and never put back together so they are used. these were the only three roller that did not have red showing through the black outer layer. there is a notch in the center of one of the roller please see picture the shaft lengths are different on all of the roller 1 is 20 5/8" long with extending shafts of 3 7/8" on one side and 1 1/2" on the other. 19 1/2" with 2" extending shafts and the third is 17 1/2' with 1 1/2' and 5/8" shafts. from online parts list they appear to be parts 4.001.918, 4.001.9909 and 4.001.910 but I am not positive. I used this for the last couple of years for my small business and mailed out about 15 or 20 letters a week(approx. 2000 sheets have been put thru this machine) and I am the second owner because the first owner needed a commercial sized model after they realized this was too small. It has yellowing because of sun coming thru the blinds. But appears in good cosmetic condition besides that. I usually feed single sheets and without problems. And only on occasion do I try to do multiple sheets and it usually feeds them all without issue, but you may need to adjust the pressure plate(user adjustable) for the type paper you will use. Also. AC adapter stopped working and had to use a different one with ... morethe plug spliced on from old adapter. This does C. Z and Half folds. It can be single sheet(or 1 to 3 thru top) and multiple sheet feed when opened. It has full on and single jog toggle switch. Although it works fine for me in my home office. MBM Paper Folder 352 Commercial School Used Working Folding Machine Watch Video!
Recently acquired at a local school auction that had upgraded. I tested this out it's complete and working. I was able to get a pretty nice tri-fold going after getting my bearings with how to use the machine. Please check out the video! There is a cracked area in the back side(shown below) Just cosmetic- otherwise this one appears to be in really good shape with little wear. The paper intake is friction based and would sometimes pull multiple sheets in, I have a feeling this is just a calibration issue, it was working fine(consistently pulling in single pages) then I decided to turn all the knobs to make sure they worked and screwed up the calibration. Vintage. Older Model MBM FastFold Jet Speed Automatic Paper Folder Model F5CA. I know nothing about these machines. I plugged it in. And it works. Turned it on, and the motor runs strong and smooth with no odd sounds. I used the speed adjustment, which also seemed to work as it should, and there is a power adjustment on it as well, I guess for heavier card stock paper, which also seemed to work as it should. That being said. It's older and rather dusty with dusty grease around the gears. I can't tell if anything is missing, broken or not working as it should beyond what I described above. I'm certain it will need at the very least a servicing before being put back into regular use, and it may require more. I encourage questions from those of you interested in the machine. Folder is used but has very little use. Works perfectly and has no cosmetic damage or marks. Our church used it briefly but when we purchased a new copying machine it contained an integrated folder making this one surplus. This is ideal for church or small office. Will fold up to 7200 pieces per hour. 4 different folds available. Half, letter, zig zag and double. Setting the two plates manually for the desired type of fold, loading the paper and pressing the start button is all that is required. No instruction manual included, but illustrated instructions are available online by searching for MBM Model 93M operating instructions and several sites will appear.
