It also can be used with external DC 6 Volt adapter which I am including with this sale. It has a AC cord or battery option. AC cord can be tucked inside the radio compartment. It has a squelch knob. Band selector for AM, FM-AFC, Air-PB-WB. And tone can b e adjusted from high to low. The radio works well a nd receives a lot of stations. The FM band receives the most. Followed by the AM band. The others don't seem to receive stations(Air/PB, WB) The sound volume is really good. Antenna is in good condition with a slight bend towards top and measures 27" extended. Cosmetically the radio has dust/dirt in the grill area. It has a built in stand on the back of the radio. The battery compartment is CLEAN and the radio works and sounds great! Excellent condition! Hard to find it any nicer. Box is in very good condition. Panasonic RC 1280 Flip Clock Radio 1970 Transistor
Panasonic model RC-1280 AM Clock Radio in working condition. Clean but could use a little more detailing. All functions work volume is a little scratchy. But this is relatively easy to fix with cleaner. Although the clock keeps time, it is not silent. Unit is in good condition cosmetically with only a little chrome loss as indicated in the pictures and some slight clouding in the clear window. Radio reception is pretty good but there is some background noise on all but the strongest stations. A good overall cleaning of the electronics. The clock motor and the clear plastic could make the unit a showpiece. 1970 is a guess at the actual date of this radio. Vintage 1958 General Electric GE Model P-780 Eight Transistor Radio -- BIG SOUND
You are bidding on one of the best 1950's transistor radios: General Electric's model P-780. In the 1950's when transistors began to replace tubes in portable radios most companies had the goal of producing very small shirt-pocket radios. GE made such radios too. But they also built the P-780, an eight transistor radio designed to bring in weak stations, have a"big" sound, and run for a very long time on a set of batteries. The P-780 is a large radio(about 11 inches wide and weighing over 8 pounds without batteries) You won't put it in your shirt pocket. But it has a 5 inch speaker and a big slide rule dial. It has an extra RF stage for sensitive reception. And six D-cell alkaline flashlight batteries can run this radio for almost a thousand hours! There's a very fine website devoted to this radio. This particular P-780 is the first version(A or B) It is in good cosmetic condition except for quite a bit of dirt and grime on the plastic case(see photos) The chrome is nice with minimal pitting. The battery compartment is clean and has no corrosion inside. This radio is working. But the volume control and tuning are a bit"scratchy. There's static noise when adjusting the volume and tuning in a station. The dial lite works properly and the dial indicator moves as the tuning knob is turned. This radio is a duplicate from my collection and a great sounding high performance transistor radio that will run a long time on a set of batteries. Original owner unfortunately very lightly scribed(most likely with a soldering iron) his name onto the back side and then painted his name in silver. Cosmetically there is some lifting of the side black leather like decorative panels. Vintage Ross RE-1930 AM/FM Transistor Radio. Amplitude Modulation/Frequency Modulation. Radio is in very nice condition considering its age. AM/FM both work when plugged in! Antenna is in place and works. Tested with a 9V battery but it did not turn on with just a battery. Radio is missing one standing knob on the bottom which causes it to wobble a little- see photos. NICE 1962 TRANCEL TR-61 6 TRANSISTOR RADIO MADE IN JAPAN BY TOSHIBA WORKS!
For auction is a Trancel 6 transistor pocket radio. Model TR-61, made in Japan by Toshiba, and from 1962. This radio is in nice shape, with only a few light scatches, and no chips or cracks. The color of the plastic is a light grayish blue, and it has a nice shiney finish. The grille has some slight impressions that were hard to photograph, but looks good, and the coin slot has some minor pry marks. I was able to bring in several stations clearly, but the volume is low. I did get 3-4 of my stronger stations to come in at a good listening level when I had the volume up high or all the way. The leather case is included, but it has a taped torn top flap and general wear, but it will help protect the radio. I like the metal front with the eye shaped dial cover, and the nifty retractable kick stand. This is a good looking and stylish vintage transistor ... moreradio, ready for a collection. You are bidding on a circuit board made in discrete transitor logic. There is no branding information on the board. It looks very similar to the boards made be UNIVAC SPERRY in the 1960's therefore I assume it to have been manufactured by this company. The board is in a very good optical condition. Although, I am unable to verify it it is still functional, therefore it is sold as a potentially non-working collector's item. The board is located in Germany and will be shipped worldwide.

Vintage Standard Model SR-G430 - Micronic Ruby 7 Transistor Radio Japan 1965
Description This 1965 Standard transistor radio looks very nice. NO chips. Cracks or missing parts. UNTESTED. One of the battery compartments has some small amount of corrosion, but not bad. I believe it should clean up nicely. Hard to find a grill as clean as this one. NO dings or dents. Please view all photos for best description.
