Up for auction/ your consideration is a used Sprague Powerlytic 2500 MFD Capacitor. Please review and examine the pictures. And read this description completely, before placing any bids on this item. I bought this in May of 2000 and have never used it. It has been stored in a dry warehouse since then. It has not been used, or installed since then. It was bought for a project that I never did get around to start or complete. This capacitor was bought new back in 2000. This capacitor has been moved around and stored in various boxes since I have had it. So there is some marks on the bottom edge from this. There is two small dents from being moved around and dropped. It is not bulging at the ends and there is no leaking of the materials outside of either end of this capacitor. The tightening down screws and washer are present and have not been ... moreused or removed from another capacitor they are the original ones. The plastic shrink wrap material around the outside of the case is in good shape with a few marks near the bottom edge. None of the material is cut or missing or has been removed in any way. The information displayed on the side of the capacitor is: SPRAGUE POWERLYTIC 86D 2500-75 DC 7208 This capacitor is 1 3/8inches in diameter and about 4.25 inches tall plus.5 inch for the two screw on type connection terminals. One terminal is labeled + for positive connection. It weighs in at approximately 6 ounces. I am available to answer questions in the early mornings. Monday through Fridays. Tested this morning with a mulimeter and unit works great. All ranges and combinations of ranges were within 5% or so of the stated/combined mili ferrets. Controls for: power on/off, power factor 0-20/20-40, 7 push button for set-up, voltage 0-60/0-600, bridge selector cap/res, eye tube for open/short and capacitor value and meter for voltage and MA readings. All controls and switches were cleaned. All capacitors and some resistors were replaced. All tubes tested and replaced as needed. The case was repainted and has a new power cord. Shows some wear from age and use but is in overall good condition. Very useful piece of equipment with a lot of great features.

Up for bid is a pair of used Sprague 157P capacitors at.015 mf(tested.014) Pulled from a 1960's Baldwin organ that was parted out recently. These tone caps could be a great upgrade for any guitar using humbucking pickups. Tried a set of these in a ESP EC50 Les Paul type guitar and was very pleased with the tone improvement over stock capacitor. Hi Folks! Today for your consideration. I’m offering a working, overhauled Sprague TO-4 Capacitor-Resistor Analyzer. The tester reliably and accurately measures the capacitances of all types of capacitors from around 10 pF-2000 uF and resistances from 2.5 Ohms to 25 Meg Ohms. It will also check wiring and other high resistances, AND reform electrolytic capacitors! If you are working with older electronics or tube equipment. This is THE piece of test equipment to get! The set uses a type 1629 Magic Eye tube as an indicator. The tube is BRIGHT! I have checked the other two tubes on my TV-7 military transconductance tester for quality and shorts. The 12J5 measures 104 over 50 minimum. While the 1619 comes out at 68 over 43 minimum. I have replaced all of the leaky“Black Beauty” also known as BBoD or Black Beauty of Death caps for their horrendous ... moreleakage) More importantly.
