Communications Technologies Brick Oscillator 1 GHz for 1296 2304 MHz transverter
This is a really handy brick oscillator designed to operate at 1093.5 MHz. It requires an external reference signal through a female SMA connector. RF output is also a female SMA. The really nice thing about this brick is that it operates on +15 VDC. There is an LED on the end by the connectors and power connections that turns on to indicate lock. Moving this brick to 1152 I would think would be very simple but I did not try it out. The brick looks to be in very condition but has definitely been used. You might even be able to build a dual band transverter system using this one brick. Switch between two crystal oscillators. One at 96 MHz for 1152(+144 = 1296) or 2160 using a 90 MHz for 2304. Again, I did not try this but I would think it possible. You would also need to switch the output of the brick between the 1296 transverter and a frequency ... moredoubler to get the 2160 MHz for 2304. Maybe a bit complicated but you could make a nice little contest dual band rover station. I do combine shipping when practical. Please see my other auctions for more great items. Here the cavity oscillator is phase locked to the X12 harmonic of a 105.01923 MHz SC-cut crystal or 1260.23 MHz. The multiplier block/filter is X5, and the 6.3011535 GHz output is 13.4 dBm. Requires a well-regulated-20 VDC supply at about 0.3 A. The spectrum analyzer(at 1 MHz/div) cables, and attenuators are not included in auction. Each of the units that we have in stock is individually callibrated and has marked on the label the exact difference from 10MHz calibrated at an ambient temperature of 25 degrees C: e.g. 0.3Hz or-2.9Hz(see) Beneath the screw on one side of the module is the slot for trimming the output frequency. The oscillators produce a sine wave output with an amplitude of 1 volt peak to peak. When looking at the oscillator from the bottom and holding the ground terminal at the bottom left the other terminals are as follows: top left- no connection. The Model 213 Audio Oscillator was probably designed in the early 1920’s and produced in various iterations into the 1930’s. An article printed in the General Radio Experimenter in April 1930 describes its use and characteristics. It was produced in several models, 400 Cycles(Hz) and 1000 cycles(Hz) The one shown here is the 1000 cycle model. GR would build an oscillator in any configuration from 400 Cycles to 1500 Cycles to order. It basically consists of a driven tuning fork and a carbon button microphone that detects the output. It is a stable quartz oscillator for primary frequency and time standards. There are two outputs, 1 MHz and 100kHz. It was made contemporaneously with the HP 104AR. The difference being primarily that the 104AR had an additional output of 5MHz. The original specifications indicate that the 103AR and the 104AR had a long and short term stability of 5x10-10 per day. I originally purchased this as a backup for a 103AR that I had operating in my Standards Lab quite some time ago. I never had the opportunity to use this unit. I recently applied power to the unit and found that the 1MHz output seems to be operating. This comprises two low distortion audio oscillators and a centre section for monitoring and attenuation. Each oscillator can be used independently. Or they can be mixed for two-tone/ intermodulation testing. The oscillators can be set from 20 Hz to 20 kHz in 6 ranges. The output attenuator can be adjusted in steps of 0.1 db over a range of 110 db. There is a separate coarse and fine output adjust control, along with a fine frequency tune, for each oscillator. This all works fine. Cosmetically this is basically OK. It is showing its age but the front panel is fine. The case is a bit scratched and covered with old test stickers. Terms and Conditions.
