Please check out my other auctions for more audio gear I'm clearing out. This auction is for a mint Westrex RA-1592 tube microphone pre-amp mixer with two inputs. It is very similar in gain and frequency response characteristics to the more common RCA OP-6 portable mixers. However. It is a little more versatile with both a 30ohm input(for WE dynamic or moving-coil phono) as well as 600ohm for ribbon microphone. Overall max gain is 106dB. Output is 600ohms. The stock unit is configured with a slight high frequency rise like the OP-6 for ribbon microphone. This can be disabled if one desired a flat response on one of the channels. LATE 40s RCA RT 3 A TUBE MIXER MIC PRE AMP LANGEVIN ALTEC AMPLIFIER OP 6THIS IS
This RCA RT 3A is a very rare piece from the late 1940s. It is the pre amp section to the RCA RT 3 recorder and is a cross between a BA 1 and an OP 6. It has a single microphone input and also a 600 ohm input that can be used as a second mic input or can be connected to an external passive mixer. Or a mixer like a RCA OP7 or BN 2. It has three stages of amplification using two 6J7 tubes and one 1620 so it has a bit more gain than a BA 1 so it would be perfect for use with ribbon microphones. It seems to have two pre amps on board and it should be possible to convert this to two independent pre amps. It is self powered with input and output controls and a separate attenuator(for use as a pad) it has a nice large lighted meter with the classic late 40 RCA build quality(built like a tank) It has been sitting for a long while and has developed ... morea bit of surface rust as you can see but check out the picture from the bottom of the electronics, they are very clean with no rust. All transformers are tested and working well and most of the caps are oil cans that aren't leaking that I can see so they should all be good. It is being sold as is for restoration but it will be a fantastic piece with a little money invested.

I really love Neotek pre-amps. But using 3U of real estate simply isn't practical if one has limited rack space available. So I decided to dispense with the original front panels, which are too big to fit two of them into a 2U case, and designed a new, more compact front. While I was at it I figured I may as well get rid of all the extraneous switches and pots that have no use in stand-alone pres. So here is the new Gruning Audioworks 2U case for vintage Neotek Series I modules. On this pair I replaced all the electrolytic capacitors and op-amps and added a pair of Tamura output transformers. I left the polarity. EQ out, mute, line/mic, and phantom power switches and added a pot replacing the fader in the original consoles. Big Muff 1980's Op-Amp Fuzz Made in New York City
This is a Big Muff from the 1980's. Not sure of the exact year but pots are dated'84. It is missing on of the original knobs and shows obvious wear and tear. All parts are original and unit works well. Pots are a little noisy but should clean up nice if serviced. This pedal is"beefy" and has a lot of tonal range. Great vintage sound!

Modified Ibanez DS7 Distortion pedal. Socketed OP-amp and ts-808 impedence specs
A clean DS7 that has been lightly modified for clarity. Smoother gain, with a warmer tone. A very simple control layout, but each knob offers a WIDE array of flexibility. This pedal has been converted to socked op-amps for easy chip changes. And is currently fitted with an old stock Texas Instruments RC4558P chip. The impedance of the output buffer was also modified to lower values. Matching the early ts-808 tubescreamer specs. This pedal will run off of a battery or a power supply. 9v power suggested by Ibanez. Although these pedals should run stable at 18v from the factory(Do so at your own risk! All electrolytic capacitors in this unit are rated at 25v or better.

This Hartman pedal is basically a clone of the original Rat pedal but with an extra mode for overdrive/volume boost(referred to as A/ SYM) Unlike modified Rat pedals by Keeley or Vodka mods that use a small bat toggle switch that is activated by hand. The Hartman has an extra foot switch, so no need to take your hands off your instrument if you want to switch modes. Like a RAT pedal it has an ON/OFF switch, and 3 knobs for distortion, filter, and volume. The pedal is in good shape but with a few nicks in the paint which you can see in the photo. Custom Ibanez TS-808 Tubescreamer TS7 pedal. Socketed op-amp, Keeley mods!
This pedal is like an early ts-808 mated with a war tank! First off. It has been converted to socked op-amps for easy chip changes, and is currently fitted with an old stock Texas Instruments RC4558P chip. The gain knob offers much more flexable gain choices(lower minumum gain. AND higher maximum gain than stock) The output impedance was lowered. The most common mod found on on ts7's, to revert it back to ts-808 specs. One of the clipping diodes was changed to bring out more second order harmonics. Painted in a textured black paint. And accented with a bright green LED to match the TS7 label. THIS pedal will run off of a battery or a power supply. 9v power suggested by Ibanez. Although these pedals should run stable at 18v from the factory(Do so at your own risk, but I run my personal TS7 this way and have not yet ruined anything; All ... moreelectrolytic capacitors in this unit are rated at 25v or better.

Hello. Here i have a classic api vp-26 api style 500 series mic pre up for sale. I built 4 of these vp-26's and 6 of the vp-28's. the vp-28's have been getting more use lately and i am selling 2 of my vp-26's to help pay for more of the 28 kits. The build is very neat and orderly and i have used them on a variety of projects over the last couple of years with no issues. Everything works properly and they sound like they should- which is amazing. These are an incredible value in a 500 series mic pre. The auction is for 1 but i have 2 for sale. Both have the red dot op amp which most people say sounds closest to the original huntington 2520 op amp. One of the faceplates has a small scratch below the preamp gain pot. Modded Ibanez DS7 pedal Socketed op-amp, recapped, hd switch, ts-808 mod & more!
A clean DS7 that has been modified for clarity. Diversity, and dependability. A very simple control layout, but each knob offers a WIDE array of flexibility. Almost too much range for a 3 knob layout! This pedal has been converted to socked op-amps for easy chip changes. And is currently fitted with an old stock Texas Instruments RC4558P chip. All of the electrolytic capacitors in the tone path have been replaced with tantalum. Cheap ceramic disc caps replaced with their monolithic counterparts, and the film caps have been replaced with poly box caps The minimum gain has been lowered. To give a slight bite, while the max gain is ready to slay. The tone knob offers great warmth, still boasting a full spectrum with plenty of highs by the 12 o'clock. It is almost too diverse to explain in words, but it covers the range of a ts-808, and then ... morewill go above and beyond! From sweet blues, to gritty rock, to screaming punk.one pedal will cover it all! The output buffer is also modded to the same impedence as the original ts-808. With the gain turned low. Level cranked high, and and the tone knob somewhere in the first 60% of it's range.you will have a phenominal boost that will push a tube amp into high gear! If you are liberal with the gain and tone. The pedal is very sweet and produces low noise. Turning them both up high can still get pretty noisy. Even changing all of the components to those of better quality, this circuit was MADE to be noisy when cranked. The HD switch conversion also yields a superior level of reliability over the stock switching. This modification makes the old switch pad rigid. And utilizes a bullet proof momentary footswitch, putting the stock micro switch in the garbage where it belongs. Because of the nature of the HD switch mod. This pedal will not run off of a battery. Only a power supply can be used to power this pedal. 9v power suggested by Ibanez. Although all of the components should be stable at 18v. No capacitor is rated less than 25v, while the majority are rated from 50v to 1
