These are a lot of two used laser diode adapters for allowing the 5.6mm laser diodes to be used with collimators designed for 9mm laser diodes. Typically the optics used with 9mm diodes are of better quality than the 5.6mm laser diodes. Especially with regards to range of beam, while the newer 5.6mm laser diodes tend to be higher power than the 9mm diodes. These little parts will allow you to upgrade, repair or retrofit older equipment with the newer, more reliable, and more powerful 5.6mm diodes. This is a lot of 7 high power microchip lasers made by Novalux. They make a 40 watts of power at 824nm in a 1. by 1 cm beam. The laser chips have a line of several 1-3 watt vertical cavity emitters and are pre-mounted on synthetic diamond heat spreader chips. They require 30-40A at about 2V. A very good heat sink, and an external output coupler to work properly. They were intended to be used with a frequency doubler to make blue-violet light for some kind of research application.
