PATTERN#5299 1/2 NO RESERVE This"no reserve" auction is for a Case Tested XX(1920-40) Torpedo Jack" knife with a regular pull clip master blade. A spear blade, and Stag handles, pattern#5299 1/2. Both blades on this knife have only been very lightly used and sharpened. I would estimate each blade retains 98%+ of original size. Both blades are clean with no evidence of pitting. However, there are visible, but light, sharpening scratch marks on each. Blade snap is strong on each, with no"wobble" on either in the open position. The Stag handles are free of cracks, chips, and shrinkage. I do note a"greenish" discoloration in the upper portion of the shield side handle adjoining the brass liner, and surrounding the ... moretop pin on the same handle. This appears to be some"age bleed" emanating from the copper alloy component of the brass liner. The backspring is clean with no evidence of pitting, or other issues. However, there are some"dings" on the bottom edge of both bottom bolsters. This knife is 4 1/8" long closed, and approximately 7 3/16" long with the master blade open.
