Really neat antique sewing container for storage. It is really old and has spots for the thread. Hooks for scissors etc. and pouches for materials and miscellaneous things. I wish shipping wasn’t so much as I would really like to see someone appreciate this cute storage container, it is quite large 30 inches by 14 inches. It has a tiny tear in the fabric on one side, which really doesn’t affect its use or look as the material is layered quite a few times. It is very sturdy and has a neat hook to clasp the entire unit shut when not in use. Really perfect to organize your sewing supplies and have something so unique to put it all in. Old threads also come with this item. Everything I found in the storage unit was from the 40’s and I think it is older then that. So at least 70 years old!

The recorder was put back into its suede cloth storage bag and ended up in a dresser drawer. Because the brown storage bag blended with the color of the drawer. We forgot we owned a recorder. Daughter found it again while she was visiting over the holidays. Her music teacher was a stickler for taking good care of your instruments. And he taught his students well. VERY Cool Large Primitive Industrial Solid Copper Two Handled Box Storage Box Lots of oldees for you this week- some very cool and very old primitives. Fabulous retro industrial, wonderful original artwork, and even some deco thrown in- there’s something for everyone! This one is a real looker! I don't know what it came from originally. But this old copper two handled box is ready to go to work for you- and look pretty too! It measures 12 1/4" by 12 1/4" across the top, but the inside dimensions are really 12 1/4" by 10 5/8" as there is a lip that runds the lenth of two opposite sides- as if it used to rest into a frame or some larger piece. There's two handles that fall down flush agains the lips and raise up when you pull on them. The box is 8" tall and it weighs just under 4 3/4 lbs. It is in excellent ... moresolid and sturdy condition with an age darkened patina that is smattered all over with dark spots and spots of green oxidation. There are two small dings that I could find on the body of the box, and I have taken a close up of each in photos 15& 16. They are really hard to notice. The inside of the box is dirty, so it could use a good cleaning- I have not tried to clean it in any way. One of the lips bends down a little right at the corner- I'm showing you in close up 7. You can see the solder on the the bottom of the box, and running up the edges of the two lipped sides from its making. There's no other issues that I can find- what a cool storage box or decorative box! I took a photo of it next to my stool so you can appreciate the large size. It was too unique and cool to pass up! There appears to have been some braces attached over the years for security& strength(See photos) I have all 4 pegs, if the photos don’t show them clear and two of the four pegs can be removed to convert the table into a seat back hutch bench. Its not really noticable until you remove the lid. The sturdy caddies are made of a treacle brown bakelite. The lid has four angular shoulders around a dome. The tight fitting lid screws on to the caddy compartment to keep the contents fresh. The main outer body of the caddy is smooth. With a raised textured'label' with the word TEA/SUGAR There are three cone shaped feet on the base of the caddy.
