This is a unique and not often seen bargraph 2 kw working watt meter. It allows you to read SWR and read forward power up to 2000 watts at the same time. Original switches. Original feet, crisp lettering, built-in power supply, clear working LED vertical bargraph indicators and an excellent front panel. The cabinet is not damaged or modified and the original vinyl finish is excellent, but has a small tape residue mark on the top. Turtle wax label remover and patience should remove. There has been a switch fitted to the side of the case and a BNC connector mounted on the front. The BNC may be wired to the meter to connect an oscilloscope. But I cannot confirm this without taking it apart. There is a crack in the meter(black) cover. But the glass is OK and the needle moves. The four feet on the base are missing. Close to mint condition. Please look at the photographs for the details; as you can see it looks very good. There is a small scuff on the right side of the cabinet; it visible in the pictures although small. There are 2 or 3 more scuffs on the case that are too small to register on the pictures and not visible to the naked eye; I mention it here for the sake of full disclosure. The front and trim ring of this unit are perfect. I took two pics of the front to show this as best as possible. One with and one without flash. This unit has been taken care of very well over the years. It comes from a non smoking environment ... moreand has only been kept in a dry. Air conditioned environment. The meter is also perfect. Without any yellowing or corrosion. Meter zeroing adjuster is undamaged. Glass is properly positioned. Lettering is sharp and free of rub wear. All switches move freely and operate as they should. The speaker cone is free of damage and looks like new. All cinch connectors and screw terminals at the back look to be in good shape. Collins ID plate is still present and in good shape. The unit has never been repaired or modified. The paint also is original. The cable that connects the coupler to the chassis terminals seems to have been renewed at one point though. Probably for the purpose of extending it, I don’t think it is original. Included is a 90-degree SO-239/PL-259 coupler and the original Collins cable to connect the speaker to the radio. Item background The 312B-4 integrates the 75S-3B. 32S-3, 30S-1 and accessories into an operating system. The KWM-2(a) and 30S-1 can also be integrated into an operating system by the 312B-4. This is not a're-sprayed' Bird. Original owner was big industry telco. The serviceman's hard case is a somewhat rare item and very nice. The outer shell of the case has"BIRD" on it. This is not a Pelican case but the real deal. This is Ham owned gear and not an'estate find' I checked this Bird next to two others I have and it is accurate as per manufacturer spec. The official and very hard-to-find serviceman's case alone is probably worth the price.
