This is a Siltronix/Swan accessory in excellent cosmetic and working condition. It operates on 80-10 meters. Allows you to read SWR on the lower scale or read forward power on the upper scale up to 1000 watt. Original knobs, crisp lettering, clear working large 4' meter and an excellent front panel. The cabinet is not damaged or modified and the original textured paint is excellent with a few minor scratches. I bench tested it with my TS-140S and hamstck antenna. I purchased this meter new and used it with my station for a few years. Then it went into dry storage and was forgotten about until I began the task of downsizing and moving along unused items. This is a beautiful antique piece that was designed for testing wattage on electrical equipment. This was made in 1929 by the Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation in Newark. New Jersey. The piece is built into a sturdy wood case(likely oak, but we're not certain) with an aluminum latch and hinges and the original leather carrying handle. The case is marked W16 on the exterior and has the number 100 stamped into the wood on the side of the case. The case opens up ... moreto reveal a panel on the left side with instructions and information on the use of this piece, and the right side is the actual wattage meter mechanism. The mechanism is built into a black metal housing with a number of attachments for testing different types of equipment and a large wattage meter in the center. This is a great antique piece that will be perfect for any vintage electronic equipment collectors! Condition: This piece is antique and used with some wear. The piece is untested and we do not know if it works or not. There is some wear to the wooden case with some scratches. Dings and discoloration from age. The leather handle is brittle. The meter itself appears to be in good condition with some light scratching and tarnishing on the finish. This is a not often seen and somewhat rare piece of HF gear from the 1970's. It is large(7 1/2'x4'x5' Very well built and looks like it is a Collins accessory. It allows you to read SWR or read forward power up to 2000 watts. Original knob, original feet, crisp lettering, beautiful red Hunter emblem, clear working large meter and an excellent front panel. The cabinet is not damaged or modified and the original finish is excellent with a few marks.
