Vintage Grundig SO 205 US, Radio and Phonograph; Beautiful Cabinet & Extra Parts
Here I have a very nice Grundig Majestic Stereo. SO 205 US, multi-band radio(AM/FM& 2 SW bands) and record player which has 78, 33 1/3 and 45 RPM settings with a 45 adapter. The radio takes 6 tubes: EM 84 ECL 86(2) ECH 81 EEC 85 EBF 89 All of the tubes were tested and work except for one ECL 86 and the EM 84. Since two of the tubes will need replacing I do not know if the unit works or not. I think the ECL 84 tube is for the green"magic eye" tuning eye which glows brighter once a station is tuned in but really has not too much to do with the actual operation of the radio. Technically. From what I understand, the radio should work, that is broadcast) with or without the"magic eye" indicator, but I'm not an expert; I'm just passing on what I have heard. Also, I have not tested the phonograph basically because ... moreI'm not sure how it works. Unfortunately I do not have the manual for this set nor do I have a Sam’s PhotoFacts. However, the Sam’s PhotoFacts facts sheet for this unit is: SAMS SET 687. The SAMS for the turntable is: SAMS 951 10 for turntable TW504S. I have also just acquired almost a complete additional chassis set and turntable complete with new needles. a“nightmare” to find for this unit) which includes everything you see on the last 7 photos which are for the radio and phonograph of this US 205 model. These parts are hard and expensive to obtain. I haven’t checked them in the radio, and again therefore cannot say that they work, but by the look of them they look pretty good to me and hopefully, with the original parts I have, should be enough to make this beautiful radio/stereo phonograph work. Use ZOOM option to closely inspect all the parts to insure this is what you want and the parts are there that you may need for restoration. As you can see. The cabinet is in remarkably nice shape compared to a lot of other one's like this you see out there where the veneer has a lot of cracks, etc. The front speaker fabric is in almost new condition and free of stains and/or

Vintage Grundig/Pekalit Knobs With Solid Brass Trim 1950's
I believe this is a knob set from a 1950's Grundig radio. I was going to give the dimensions but I'm afraid they might be metric so I will leave it to a radio enthusiast to just know what they are looking at. The smaller top knob is stamped 1190 Pekalit 4. It has a set screw. The larger dial is stamped NR10700 Pekalit 5. There is no set screw for the larger dial. Both have a ribbed outer edge and are trimmed in solid brass. The Precious Mirror pattern was introduced in 1954 by the Wm. Rogers& Son International Silverplate company. This complete set services 16 and includes 99 pieces: 16) Knives, 16) Dinner Forks, 16) Lunch Forks, 31) Spoons, 16) Soup Spoons, 2) Sugar Spoons, 2) Butter Knives, The set is housed in a handsome Pacific Silver Cloth case to prevent tarnish. The set was purchased at an estate sale and is in excellent condition. It is unpolished. But I polished one fork and it has a beautiful luster; it looks like it has hardly been used. Antique Vintage Reed & Barton Sterling Silver Hepplewhite Sugar Spoon C1907
Up for your consideration. Is this 107 year old Reed& Barton Co. solid sterling silver sugar spoon. This has been in my family and was my grandmothers. It has been stored away for many years. The spoon is a scalloped shell design and the pattern is called"Hepplewhite" and was produced and sold in 1907. This sugar spoon is in very good condition with a bit of patina/tarnish. Very little though which is expected for a silver spoon of this age. This can be cleaned if so desired easily with a silver cleaning cloth. The spoon is not bent or damaged from what I can see on close examination. The pattern is art nouveau in style and is hallmarked and stamped. There is a old style hallmark with a capitol R inside a crest for"Reed& Barton" at the base of the spoon. On the left of the R is a eagle facing right. On the right ... moreside of the R inside the crest there is a lion passant facing left standing up right. The next stamp on the handle of the spoon states"Sterling" and Pat. 1907 for the year the pattern was produced. This is a pretty rare pattern and year and I have not seen very many out there for sale. Most of the shell style sugar spoons are scalloped all the way around the spoon, but not in the shape of this one. Pretty design and in great antique condition. There are very minor scratches to the silver but difficult to see unless up close. Very minor though and really not seen unless looking very closely. Pictures I have taken are not very good. They appear much darker in the pictures than in real view. The spoon is a much lighter silver and not dark. My camera does not take good pictures unfortunately. It is so much prettier in person! Interesting sterling bookmark originally made by the Frank M Whiting Company followed by the Ellmore Silver Company. This one is marked Elmore. It is in the Whiting flatware pattern Princess Ingrid. It was a common practice to make sterling pieces to match flatware including bookmarks. I believe it to be circa 1945. The bookmark is monogrammed with an A and a G. I almost did not see it because it appears to be a part of the pattern. Most of the older bookmarks are heavier than the newer ones. This one is no exception.
