This footed molded glass tea measure is sometimes referred to as a dose cup. It is 2 ½” in height with a top diameter of 1 ¾” It is mold marked on the side with measurements up to 1 oz. and above that“TEA” The cup is bottom marked with a mold embossed mark which reads“JOHN O. GOLDEN INC” in a circle. This surrounds a cross logo containing the words“GOLDEN PRODUCTS” Information on the internet indicates that John O. Golden operated a pharmacy in Portland. Oregon during the first quarter of the 20th century and was listed as a druggist as early as 1903. We have seen a few dose cups on the internet and evidently this model came in both clear and amber glass. Some of them were unmarked. One example with a bottom mark identical to ours was identified as c. 1909. This is such a unique Antique Find! The Cleveland Dental Mfg. Co. Handpiece cleaner bottles and stand. Original brass plate on front. Pat Pend underneath. One of the bottles has a hole in the bottom. There is still some substance in the bottles which seem to have made it's way through the bottle. Comes in the original stand which is made of wood and metal. Must have for the Collector of vintage dental items or of unusual items. I have never seen another of it's kind! Great antique.

Vintage Pfizer Drug mini-sundial (?)
Up for bid is what l believe to be a miniature sundial made by Pfizer Drug Company. It advertises NIAMID" the mood brightener" to the right of the sundial's pointer is a small level-liquid still intact. Not sure what was supposed to be on left. The base is missing. It is made of metal with a very worn brass finish. It is octagon shaped 3" across and has Roman numerals to indicate the hours. The pointer can be fitted into a slot to lie flat. The smaller one has its name plate attached giving the name and screen scale size info. The larger scale is missing its info. plate. But because of the similarities of the 2 I'm assuming it is a Tyler screen scale as well. I put a magnet all over each, and it didn't stick, so with that and viewing others like these I'm assuming them to be Brass covered or colored Copper. The larger scale has a 1" crack on the side, at the top of where the removed name plate was, besides that and the usual signs of age, ware and use, I find them in very good vintage shape. This is a lot of 2 very old eye doctor trial lens frames. There are no lenses in the grouping. Just the frames. The wire one appears to be much older than the black one. There is a patent date and number on it, but I'm not sure if I'm reading that right, as it appears to me to be"Jun 25, 98, however, I'm not confirming that, as it would have to be 1898. That is on the frame, and on the ear piece, it is an April date that appears to be of that year. The black frame ones appear to be newer, and are made by the American Optical Company. There are various numbers on there also. I have not attempted to clean these at all and so they are as I found them, among my treasures in my attic. vintage" OPTICAL DEVICE" possible patent prototype designed by Alexander J. Radin(Brooklyn. NY) I found this at an estate sale for the family of a man who was a local optician many years ago in North Jersey. I found three of these devices. This one being the smallest. There was a photocopy of patent paperwork(April 22. 1958) attached to one of them. It indicates that this device, referred to as an"Optical Device" works as described: to cyclically pull and relax. In a desired adjustable sequence, all the muscles affecting the eyeball, whereby to remedy or diminish the orthoptic defects. lines 39-41) It appears that the motor and gears inside the device are meant to obfuscate the vision using a shutter mechanism. This causes the eye to focus and unfocus. Thereby"exercising" the eye muscles. PRETTY COOL IDEA! This ... moredevice is VERY HEAVY-30 pounds! Cabinet is made of a thick. Dense plastic material. Appear to be brass handles on the side, a metal toggle switch(power? brass eyepiece fixtures with lenses installed, a motor, various brass gears and metal fixtures inside. Pretty STEAMPUNK! The plug at the end of the power cord has been cut/removed. Motor is made by Mills Novelty Company. I have no idea if it runs. Or if the device is in functional condition. There is simply not enough available information about how it works. I believe that this device is a prototype of one of Radin's inventions. Possibly used for US patent application. Up for auction is a Vintage Airguide Weather Gauge Barometer Temperature Humidity. I think this unit is 1950s or 60s. It appears to be made from a black plastic or Bakelite. It seems to be working but I am not 100% sure it works exactly as it should, the barometer has only moved a little since I bought it a few days ago, the temp seems correct and the humidity moved when I held it above the steam coming from a sink full of hot water. This is an OLD- VINTAGE 1950'S- WALL MOUNTED- BAROMETER. It is as shown and is a ROUND- 5" diameter X 1 3/16" thick WOOD BASE- with a 3 7/8" diameter BRASS BAROMETER unit. It has a very nice looking PORCELAIN face! It is made in WESTERN GERMANY- GERMANY- and is in good working condition with some use wear. And one back plate mounting screw is missing. CAMBRIDGE MODEL L VINTAGE SCIENTIFIC APPARATUS
Cambridge Instrument Co. Model L scientific apparatus. Unknown what this was used for- no manual or instructions and I found no info for this on the WEB. The case appears to be solid wood and shows no major damage, the finish is very decent for its age showing some scuff and scratch marks mostly to one side, this could easily be re-finished. The inside panel and controls look very good showing no real wear or damage, there are two small bottles as pictured, one is empty and one has a dried up crystal like substance inside. The case measures 12 3/4" by 8 7/8" by 10 1/2" high and weighs 18 pounds before packaging. There is a 110 volt AC plug on the side but the power cord is missing and NOT included, no attempt has been made to power this up or test it in any way, this is sold AS IS for its collectability only. Vintage Weksler Psychrometer/Thermometer-Weksler Instruments Corp-Leather Case
Up for auction is a vintage Weksler psychrometer. These instruments consist of two thermometers. The dry bulb which measures the actual air temperature and the wet bulb which measures the water vapor in the air. The wicking attached to the wet bulb thermometers must be immersed in clean water so that the bulb is completely saturated.The difference between the wet and dry bulb readings is known as the depression.
