The batteries were left in the unit and as you can see from the picture it still had the original vintage radio shack 9v battery which tells me this unit was not used long and would have very little usage on it. The terminals have very light battery leakage from the batteries being left in. The unit is untested because I lack a 9 volt to test it. I am guessing from its wonderful condition and lack of usage the unit will work fine. In the meantime I will look for the correct battery and test the unit and update the listing accordingly.
