Ideal Newborn Thumblina Doll
This is a 1967 Newborn Tiny Thumbelina Ideal Doll. She is marked on the back of her neck. 1967 then a circle with Ideal inside of the circle. TT-9-H108, Japan. She is 9" long. She has some defects on her right side, her body has been sewed down her right side up under her arm and around her arm. She has a pull string in her back that does work. It will pull out a long way. It pulls out good and goes back in good. When it is pulled she will move her head and with her laying down it looks like her arms are moving. She has blonde hair. Not really sure if her hair has been cut or not, but to me it looks like it has in the back, there is pictures that shows all of the defects, so i will let you be the judge on her haie. I did not see any plugs missing from her hair. I have added alot of clothes that will fit her. These are Not her clothes ... morebut will fit her. There is like 12 outfits, 3 pairs of bloomers, 1 sleeping bag, 1 blanket, and 1 christening dress with slip and bloomers. This doll is not perfect but she is an old doll. Her hair is soft shiny and pristine. Wow! what a gorgeous face, very high cheek coloring, nice bright vivid lips. Her body is clean and fresh, no soiling or damage.clean clean clean. Her head moves very nicely in a circular motion when her pink knob is turned( faster than most) I think because she was unplayed with. Thumbelina is wearing her pink sheer high yoked dress. Hard to find Vintage 1984 12" Teeny Tiny Thumbelina Doll still in box. Box is a little rough. Some tears on front, some stains. Doll is in good condition. Still has netting over head. Dress is still nice and white! Bloomers are loose around waist. The box says it has Mama Voice, but this one isn't working. Acquired this doll from a collector, doll doesn't seemed to been played with so don't know if voice just quit from age. Look at pictures carefully, the pictures tell the story! Up for your consideration is this adorable Thumbelina Toddler doll by Ideal. According to my research. The toddler dolls were released starting in 1967. IN A MINUTE" Thumbelina was released in 1970 and is by far(in my opinion) the cutest of the Toddler dolls. She gets her name from her movements. If you place her in a high chair and pull her string she will pound on the tray and move her head. anxious for her Mama to feed her.which prompts the Mama to say.in a minute. Thumbelina! She comes to you a lot loved so please look carefully at the pictures. I think for her age she is holding up wonderfully. Her movements are great, I can't detect any problems with them. She appears to have been mended on her cloth body and there are some slight staining issues. She has a bit of yellow discoloration by her hairline, it shows up quite well ... morein the photos. Her shoes are scuffed slightly. Also, though she comes with her original yellow romper, it has a few stains and is missing half of a snap. The original bib is missing. The doll on picture on the Doll Reference site looks to have the same length hair. The site says she is 13 inches this doll measures 14.5 inches tall. The site tells me that the doll is marked © 1967 Ideal Toy Corp. FL18-3532 on head. This doll is marked 1966 Ideal Toy Corp R313-1-H-56. But the picture they use matches this doll exactly. I think this must have been a preproduction piece and not heavily produced. Are like many other things it is very difficult to know exactly for sure what went on in 1966 with anything much less dolls. She is very unique in the fact her head moves like a bobble head. Vintage Antique Flossie Flirt Ideal Doll 15" Composition Cloth
Love the Flossie's! Her issues are the flaking paint more than anything. You can probably just take a dry wash cloth and the rest of it would come off. Luckily there is not much cracking and no lifting. Her eyes are misaligned. Or the left one has come off its rocker. The head will have to be removed to repair it. They both still move side to side in that flirty way. Also. When picked up from laying down on her stomach makes her eyes more aligned than when picked up from laying on her back. I have shown a couple photos trying to illustrate this. There are some scratches on her left eye. It could be the eye has slid too far to the side on the rocker bar and just needs to be nudged back over. Have to repair it from the inside. Her wig is in good condition and has a hair net over it that has probably been on for a long time. There is some ... moredebris in back that is inside the net. I didn't remove it. I think the wig is human hair. Cloth body is pretty good. Not a lot of old repairs. I have dressed her in this ancient slip or nighty. I think it might be handmade at home. It was from a group of doll clothes from an estate sale that the former owner washed. Starched, and ironed all of them before putting them away for nearly 60 years or more. Hello, For sale I have a Titano Ideal Palmer Convertor Accordion/Accordian with 2 sets of reeds in the treble section and 4 sets in the bass. It has a 18 5/8" keyboard and weighs just 18.6 lbs. It also comes with a cushioned back pad. I have totally refurbished the instrument myself and the work done includes all new reed wax and many new leathers. This accordion has hand riveted reeds that are balanced and powerful. The treble section has been totally rebuilt. It has all new felt pads and the action has been lowered a bit. But not too much. It has been lubricated properly and adjusted. The action is smooth, fast, and very quiet. The bellows are in great shape and the accordion is airtight. I have gone over the tuning and it has a nice dry tuning, with dry tuned octaves as well. The biggest feature of this accordion though is the convertor ... moresystem. At the touch of a switch. It converts the standard stradella system of basses and chords into single(free) notes. These notes span from low"C" to"B" nearly 3 octaves above using the same familiar pattern of Stradella bass notes of the first two rows but repeated up one octave, then another, in place of the chord rows. It can be smoothly switched back and forth for different songs or even different sections within the same song. This greatly expands the possibilities of the accordion. It is especially useful for classical music, but would be great for jazz, and other forms. I studied accordion and concertina repair at the Accordion Repair and Technicians School in Duluth. Mint Green Sengbusch Ideal Junior Stamp -Envelope Moistener
As a user of discount postage. And a writer of letters, I would have worn my tongue out by now if I had licked all those stamps and envelopes. Fortunately, as a Postal worker, many, many, years ago, I remembered a stamp moistener that might assist me in doing the job. My first find was this near perfect mint green Sengbusch Ideal Junior, made in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The green color sold me on it, and I have not seen the larger sizes in the mint green, although they certainly might exist. This wondrous device is 2 1/2" x 2" x 2" and I can find no chips or cracks missing on the base. The wheel has a little darkness on the ceramic beside its axel, but I presume that could be cleaned off. The edges of the wheel have a little roughness, but I do not see the white bisque, so that may have been in the casting, or from normal wear. ... moreThis certainly served my purpose until I started using smaller denomination postage stamps(92 1 1/4 stamps on a letter to my daughter in London) Neat little Deco Desk item- and useful for an other obsolete technology mavens like myself! Waterman's Ideal Fountain Pen in Original Hinged Lid Case
Waterman's Ideal fountain pen. Is contained in its original hinged lid case which measures approximately 6-1/4" x 1-1/8" x 7/8"H. The pen is black and has a zig-zag design almost the entire length of the pen. The length of the pen is approximately 4-5/8" including the ring at the top of the cap. The word"Ideal" is shown on the handle. The tip of the pen says"Waterman's Ideal New York" The pen has some wear. But is in overall good condition. The case has wear as well as a couple of nicks on the top of the lid. The top of the lid is also bubbled up in a few places. No returns and item is sold as is.
