Antique Rare 18 inch Ideal Bear With Postcard Picture Provenance ~ THEODORE
Please meet Theodore. He is an early Ideal bear, 18 inch, with a super sweet face and expression. He is extra special as he comes with a lovely postcard photo of himself with his original owner! He has original features, mohair is sparse in spots, and his pads have been repaired with what looks like Mommy stitches! They could be redone professionally but I like to keep my bears authentic when it comes to early repairs as it ads to their charm! Ted's left eye is loose and should be re attached, I will leave that to the new owner. He is in good strong condition and has been in my collection for many years.Ideal Bears are more rare than Steiff so don't miss out! Ideal Betsy Wetsy Doll Marking on neck: IDEAL TOY CORP BW15 X Marking on back: IDEAL TOY CORP BW 15 The clothes have no tags and the pants have a few spots on them and the elastic is gone in the waist. She has great color in her cheeks. With only a few small dirty smudges around her mouth. I used a damp cotton ball and water to wash them off, but it needs something stronger. She has green sleep eyes with no missing eye lashes. Above her eyebrows on each side are lighter patches. I tried to capture them in the photo but they are not noticeable except at a certain angle. Her body is not damage. She does have some strange scratch lines on her front and back torso, but again you can only see them at certain angles. Her hair is in decent shape. No missing plugs.

She has perfect, shiny blue eyes with soft eyelashes(none missing) and is a drink and wet baby doll. Her hair, which is a very dark brunette, is still in it's original set and very thickly rooted. She has beautiful high blushing and perfect lip color. She has some marks on her(see pics) that may or may not come out. She has all of her fingers and toes too. She was released by Ideal in 1971, she is somewhat harder to come by than other Crissy family dolls, Velvet has hair that grows and shortens by a button on her belly and a knob on her back, this edition Velvet has the wispy, layered base hair, which is correct for her, she has not had her hair cut. Her grow hair has a kink in it from being wound at a short length whilst she has been stored in her box.this will drop out over time. It is not permanent. Talky Velvet has a pull cord with a butterfly pull tab. When this is pulled Velvet talks, Velvet says all her 6 phrases clearly, there is one she speaks less but it all depends on the angle when you pull the pull cord. Shirley Temple is an 18" super sweet early composition celebrity doll that will require restoration. She is marked"Cop. Ideal N& TC" on the back of her head. But is without markings on her back. She was manufactured by the Ideal Toy Company circa 1934 and will need to be re-dressed. Shirley retains lightly painted brows, lower painted lashes, inserted fur lashes(some are missing) bright lips, and upper teeth& tongue(dusty) Her dimmed green eyes have splattered, more notably her right eye. Her original golden blonde mohair wig still retains lots of curls though thinned and messy. Shirley's composition sustains obvious, overall crazing and cracking to her head, torso, arms and legs. Some of the composition has flaked beneath her nose and eyes, and is in the process of further flaking. Her socket areas sustain paint ... moreloss too. This Tammy is dressed in a Catholic Nun outfit and is in very nice condition. Doll has a blue jumper under the black nun robe and a black"slip" She also has black nylons that are sewn to the back of her little jumper shorts. She was found with out shoes- which she may have has as most did. She has a removable belt and hat is in 2 parts. I believe she has hair under there. But I did not want to"fool" with her for fear of damaging her. Very adorable Tammy doll, highly collectable and hart to find in this outfit. Vintage 20" Ideal's Thumbelina with Vinyl and Soft Body and Re-rooted hair.
I gave this Thumbelina hair because when I got her she had very little left. I matched the color as well as I could but I'm no hair cutter so maybe someone could tweak the cut a bit. She's a very sweet baby doll with painted blue eyes and that cute Thumbelina mouth. Her vinyl is in good shape with no marker or pen marks. No bites, gouges or chews. Her body covering is clean and the stuffing gives her the feel of a real baby. I'll be honest with you. I've restored so many dolls of this type that I can't remember what all I did on this one. All I can say is that she is an adorable doll with a cuddly baby body and is wonderful to hold. She's wearing an adorable Lee Middleton outfit and it fits her perfectly. She has on a soft white romper with long sleeves, a blue and white jacket with white lace on the cuffs and down ... morethe front, and a matching bonnet. I added a new white ribbon on the bonnet. Ideal Toni P-90 ARMs only right & left for 14" doll
Decent pair of arms to either build a doll from or repair a doll. No missing or broken digits. Arms have the normal joint wear and some minor scrapes& cuts from use or abuse. The wrist seam on the left arm looks like it wants to start to open up. Both arms have their original hooks for restringing. Vintage Ideal Toni 14" Doll - Strawberry Blonde P-90
This is a 14" hard plastic Ideal Toni doll. She is not a walker. Her sleep eyes work fine. Her strawberry blonde hair is in good condition. But may have had a trim. Her stringing is a bit loose, but not bad. She will come with the vintage dress and pants shown, which are not tagged. Please let me know if you have questions or want additional pics!
