Counting the cards in the unit( 137) and the cards in the Hickok 120 case(over 1450) there is a total over 1580+ cards not including the cards listed below. I do not know when the last time it was calibrated nor if it will need anything. Conditions: I powered the unit on and its lights lite up. Added the tube card, and read the meter indicating the tube was good, appears to be functioning properly: however, since I’m not a electronics technician, I’m unable to verify if it truly is fully functional. Thus. Item is sold as-is with no warranty or guarantee. I obtained this unit from a relative who recently passed away& was a long time electronics ... morerepairman. This is a Vintage Hickok model 540 Tube Tester. This was powered on and the lights came on and appears to be working fine. I don't know much about these devices but it appears to be in good running condition. This machine is around 70 years old. There is definite wear to this machine. Please check pics. Relisted due to an error on my part. This is actually a Western Electric KS-15750 or Hickok RD 1575 meter.and the specs are supposed to be 1500 ohms 120 uA and 180 mV but not positive. I'm selling this as is. It works and the needle moves freely but it should be checked and calibrated. Overall it's in really great condition the glass is clean and clear. The black casing is a few minor surface scratches on it but looks nice and shiny. The face of the meter is very clean but a few of the numbers are worn a way a bit, see the photos. You are looking at an RD Instruments 1575 Tube Tester. This tester is similar to the Hickok 539B or the Western Electric KS-15750. Overall. It is in good used condition. However, it does not have a top lid. All meters are Hickok. All knobs, buttons, switches are working. The top face panel has some stains, marks, etc. All of this can be seen in the photos. I tested it using a 6L6 tube(photos 23 and 24) and it seems to be working accurately. It has a couple of service labels on it, and apparently the last service was in 1982. I had to open it up and rip the certification label(located in the top left corner- photo 12) in order to take photos inside. Inside, it is clean and there is no oxidation. 1947 Bliley Electric Crystal Controlled Oscillator Radio Tester Powers Up NICE
Here's the classic Bliley 1A crystal controlled oscillator. Great for working on vintage radios. These are getting harder to find. I am unable to test fully but I can tell you this much: Unit powers up. Tubes in it test good- a 35Z5 and a12SK7. Has a new electrolytic capacitor in the power supply(replaced by previous owner) Front panel looks great. All controls work smoothly and properly. Pilot light comes on. Paint is wearing off, especially on the back, probably from winding the cord over and over all these years. Built in the USA in 1947! The Bliley company is still in business, and the family has a personal website where the instructions and schematic are posted, however a printout of these will be included with the unit. Here is a rare and unknown scientific or automotive instrument or machine. I do not know what it is or does. Note on bottom say's"gas to electric" Wood box base.Toggle switch on end, two connectors under toggle, wire is about 3ft. long with two gator clips on ends. Top is metal with glass tube center,one end has a Edelmann Tire Gauge with 0 to 150 pounds. One side has a spark plug, some type of kill switch or spark connector end. One end has a quick connect coupler for either air hose or fuel line, has a valve inline as shown. Found in an old garage with lots of weird and unique items. I don't know if it's automotive or scientific instrument. Selling"as-is" untested since I don't know about it. Other than wire look rough I see no damage, cracks or broken places.
