My friend worked at a printing shop that closed as a master printer. ... moreWorking there, he knew that the shop's equipment was well maintained under a service contract and was in good working condition, so he purchased the equipment from the closed shop owner to start a small printing shop at his home. He converted his large two car garage into a full printing shop.Unfortunately after about a year. He determined that there was just not enough local business in his area to support the small printing shop as he had hoped, so he decided to close the doors as well. The equipment has been sitting in this heated shop for the last 5 or 6 years and he finally decided just to sell the equipment. CONDITION: The TOBIAS IQ200 is in excellent working and physical condition as you can see. The 4 color printing press work was done by my friend for the shop he worked for that closed. The unit was little used by my friend. Because the shop seldom did 4 color printing jobs, so the unit mostly sat for its life while in the print shop receiving little use for its approximate 15 years of total age. A bulb and the battery were replaced on the unit(see instruction manual) Heck, for the last approximately 7 years the unit was not used at all due in part to my friend closing his shop and not having 4 color jobs. He just tested and charged the unit and it functions as it should for this sale. What you see in the photos is what you will receive. FYI. The unit is both battery powered and AC powered. The unit does not have the computer connection cord as my friend found no need to record“readings” onto the PC. He just simply wrote them down. Working there, he knew that the shop's equipment was well maintained under a service contract and was in good working condition, so he purchased the equipment from the closed shop owner to start a small printing shop at his home. He converted his large two car garage into a full printing shop.Unfortunately after about a year. He determined that there was just not enough local business in his area to support the small printing shop as he had hoped, so he decided to close the doors as well. The equipment has been sitting in this heated shop for the last 5 or 6 years and he finally decided just to sell the equipment. CONDITION: The TOBIAS IQ200 is in excellent working and physical condition ... moreas you can see. The 4 color printing press work was done by my friend for the shop he worked for that closed. The unit was little used by my friend. Because the shop seldom did 4 color printing jobs, so the unit mostly sat for its life while in the print shop receiving little use for its approximate 15 years of total age. Seems to work when I turned it on. Tried it with a piece of film and seemed to work. I don't know densitometers so I can't guarantee it is still calibrated correctly or will work as you intend it to. However, this was taken from a working environment when my local photo lab went out of business. As far as I know they used it and kept everything calibrated with it. Does not come with power cable but that is standard you can find them everywhere. Serial# 011401 Comes with 1 official and 2 printed copies of the manual. X-Rite model 404 reflection densitometer Up for sale is an X-Rite model 404 reflection densitometer. Very good condition(see pictures) I was playing around with it to see what values I could get and had to read about what a densitometer does. If you're reading this. You probably already know what it is for. I wasn't making much sense of readings of various objects(being more used to RGB values) but once I read the manual about it and made my own(non-calibrated, but interesting) CMY and greyscale sheet, I could see it was doing what it is supposed to do, and the values seemed right too(see pictures) I have not done anything more than a quick calibration(read white) so original calibration has not been changed. It does not come with a calibration color card, but you can buy those or cross calibrate with another instrument. I will send ... moreyou my laminated sheet from a color printer(it has white, gray(at RGB 128,128,128) black, cyan, magenta, and yellow at 100% each, but again, my sheet is just a toy and is not meant to be a calibration card. It had the original NiCd batteries in it. One had leaked slightly but it looks like it only damaged itself. Nothing leaked onto the unit. I recycled those. I used it plugged in with the included power supply/ charger, and it works fine. It doesn't need batteries to run(unless you want it to be portable, then you'll need 6 AA NiCd batteries) It doesn't come with a manual, but you can download one Warranty: 14 days to check out/ test.
