This is a Vintage Black Central Office Test Set Case for Bell System Equipment with Brass Hardware that I have had for a very long time. It has 2C-518 and BELL SYSTEM imprinted on the handle area. One of the black leather handle's connection is worn but is securely reinforced with metal. See the close up picture of this. This box is made out of a"mystery" material. Not metal. Nor plastic or paper maybe some sort of Bakelite? It's strong having been built to carry heavy test sets. The test sets were made out of metal then. It has two really great heavy brass chest latches. All the corners. Even inside on opening, are metal reinforced. There are two brass hinges on the back. The measurements are. Up for auction is one Vintage Western Electric Bell system Central office test set telephone. Bell System made by Western Electric.The headset is overall black in color. With some white around the dialer.It says on the set Bell System, made by Western Electric, as seen in the picture.The spring that returns the dial seems to work fine, and the wire is in fine shape, it is cloth covered wire. This old phone is ready to join your collection! Up for auction is an antique telephone dating roughly to 1947. It is marked: Ericsson LM DEP 4001 Made in SWEDEN The phone handset is in good shape. As is the base, with no cracks showing in the material. The material is black, and may be bakelite, but I cannot tell. The handset internals look good. The earpiece screws off, but is stuck in place, and I don't want to force it. A little cleaning will do it some good, as there is putty on the base unit(some of which did clean off when I wiped it down, so it should be easy) The fabric cord sleeve is frayed, but the wires look good to me. Here is My Trusty Reliable Harris TS22A1 Butt set With 2 way speaker phone Butt Set. I have had this since brand new and it has been well cared for. It is in good used condition. It has had a Brand new Keypad installed about a year ago. It has a Brand new Battery installed and communication is Crystal Clear. The cables are very good and the Alligator clips have both the Bed of Nails as well as the Probe Spikes. The only issue with this unit is that the redial doesn't work and I cannot store numbers in the memory. It also is missing one screw But I think I have another one That Is correct for the unit. Not sure Why the redial doesn't and the Sto buttons do not work but that's never been an issue for me. Other than that its a great tool. Harris Dracon Model TS22 009. S/N 000291300318. Telephone test set. Cable is 62" long. Clips are in good condition. Equipped with Mute switch, Speaker switch and hook switch. Used. Some discoloration and stains. The keypad works except numbers 1, 2 and 3 aren't functioning. I didn't open the keypad end but I opened the battery compartment and removed the depleted battery. This is a great buy if you can fix the keypad.
