This is used and does have signs of it. When the line test meter indicates"CLEAR" The 735 can located open faults- even in the presence of a resistive fault- without resitriction. Measurement accuracy is within 1% If the line test meter indicates"LONG" The conductor may have a severe resistive fault. Even so, the 735 can locate the open fault. However, measurement accuracy is reduced, and the measured fault distance may be up to 10% more than the actual fault distance. The amount of error can be estimated. If the line test meter indicates in one of the red"FAULT" zones. The conductor has resistive fault so severe that ... moreno test can be made. However, under special conditions, the 735 can tolerate very severe faults and still measure the fault distance accurately.
