Up for auction is a previously installed steel 1" straight blade bicycle fork manufactured by Wuler. This fork was previously fitted onto my around-town fixed gear bike. And looks to be made to resemble a vintage Raleigh fork, right down to the cool, decorative crown mounts. It has some minor scratches up and down the left-hand side(there are a couple of noticeable scratches on the left-side top crown) but this straight blade fork is still in excellent condition(absolutely no bends. This razor is attributed to Wheatley Bros which means it is a Sheffield made blade. I am unsure of the time period. The wedge style blade suggests the late 1800's but the lack of a country of origin stamp would make it pre-1890(somebody please correct me if my information is wrong) This smooth shaver is blessed with a good sized 13/16 blade. Complete with a slight smile. And traditional barbers notch, this is as traditional as it gets! The blade is free of any cracks or chips. Blade ... morehas had a minor restore. Up for auction this week is another fine example of antique Tonsorial Tools by one of the most prolific German cutters of his time ERN of Wald Germany. This is one of the bigger Crown and Sword razors have ever seen at just a sha d e under 7/8th inch wide is heavy. Anyone who has ha d any experience with C&S 1166 razors will notice the" 5/ at the end of the etching, we are unsure what it mean s. Perhaps a model by special dispensation, but I have never seen another like it. Everything on this blade is bright and clean. Frosted Etching on the front face is is bright and clear proudly displaying“CROWN& SWORD Extra Hollow Ground” There are the traditional file cuts at the upper and lower of the tang for sure grip when stropping or shaving(a sign of Hi-Quality cutlery) Scales are perfect original black Bakelite with the embossed ... moremotif of a curved Sword on the front. The scales they are straight and hold the blade firmly and centers when closed. This razor is crisp and clean. Not used much at all as there is very little sharpening were on the spine, bevels are thin and well defined so maintenance will be very easy, you will be hard pressed to find another Crown& Sword in such pretense condition. Vintage INOX Knife Knives Antique Straight Blade with Sheath Gauchos
Up for auction is a vintage INOX Knife with Sheath. The blade is in very nice shape. It's etched on both sides with what looks to be A Gaucho scene. the word INOX etched on the blade. I have no idea of the age. But it was an Estate Sale Find. The Sheath is embossed with a Gaucho scene and the handle with two Bulls on each side of the handle. On the Blade it has a covered wagon pulled by Cattle.with a Gaucho on a horse. The other side has man by a camp fire and one by a tree and some horses. On the handle it has two Bulls on each side. Up for grabs today is this beautiful shoulderless straight made by Klas Tornblom. The blade is part of a batch that were recently uncovered in a warehouse in Eskilstuna. Some of which I managed to source. Marked Xmas Eskilstuna Sweden on the tang I can guarantee this is a Tornblom- I have several others just like it where the original stamp can still be seen. None of the blades were in scales so I did this for you- even the scales are vintage Tornblom(from my own collection) made of a favoured natural material. There are also no collars on the pins- they have a lovely grain to them and an almost translucent quality. The blade measures 34 7/8 inches long from the tang to the tip and from the notch in the habaki without the curve its 26 3/4 inches. The stain less steel blade measures 5 3/4" when closed. 9" wide open. There is a stainless steel blade guard that slides off when the blade is in use. It comes with a leather case with a snap closure. The binding around the edges of the case are coming loose in some spots. It is made by North American poduct corp. Model# R50 30165-92M 24-T. This has been sitting around for a while and has some spots of surface rust. This should not hurt it's performance in any way.
