But after a closer look I realized it is a light for hazardous areas. I learned that they were used a lot in oil fields& that Glidden paint company used them in their factories. It weighs 25 pounds& has a very long(over 26 feet) heavy duty cord. The light can be swiveled on the base. has a handle to raise or lower the angle. VINTAGE! Murta,Appleton and Co.Fishing Reel with Chimney Box. Phila, Pa.
Up for bids is a nice little 40 yd reel from Phila. Pa. I did some searching and did not find much info on it. I'm sure some of you ORCA guys and other experts will know about it. It cranks pretty smooth and the brake works. The click does not really work. Barely audible when it does make a few clicks. The chimney style box has some dings and has wear.
