And needs no work whatsoever. Lovely"flowerpot" headstock inlay. The neck and pot have serial numbers from the same year: 29039 and 29701. With all the original Fairbanks pots with repro necks out there. This is the real deal. At some point, some idiot converted it to a long-neck.I(a professional luthier for over 20 years) converted it back to the correct scale. Preserving the original fingerboard. There is a piece of the conversion splice still there, visible on the neck's back. It was required to maintain the neck's correct scale. Up for auction is a Vermont 5/16-18 NC HSS GH-3 11-7 Tap. The tap has 2 flutes. A flat bottom, and is 3 inches long. This tap is from my fathers tool box which was passed on to me after his death. He was a tool and die maker for over 40 years and I have had these tools in storage for 30 years. I have used taps under his guidance so I am somewhat familiar with them. This tap appears to be in good working condition and may not have been used. Because my father used these tools in his profession.
