Vintage 1968 Sears. Roebuck and Co. Model 1466 Silvertone Bass 150 guitar amplifier. According to the"Silvertone World" website"The 1466 was the most powerful Silvertone bass amp Sears ever made.it was one of the top three priciest Silvertones ever made available. Introduced in 1966 and retired in 1968. According to one website these were made by Danelectro for Sears and Dano closed around'69. The amp originally came with a 6 x 10" ... morespeaker cabinet. This auction is only for the amp head, no speakers included. I removed the amp from the case, blew out some of the dust(there is still a dust layer along the chassis bottom, heat sink ribs, etc. got the crackle out of the pots with RS contact cleaner, put a 1/4" plug on the speaker out, plugged it into an 8 ohm 15" Fender cabinet and rattled the room. Seems to function as it should. Handwritten in orange on the chassis was"68" below some undecipherable lines(see photo) Written in black along the underside is"472174" Pretty simple with two inputs, volume, bass/treble controls, 2 position On/Off on the front and a speaker cord, power cord and convenience outlet on back. Cosmetically, it got some issues that show in the photos. I put the 1/4" speaker plug on for testing, so check it out and make sure you're happy with it(not soldered, screw terminals) You might want to consider installing a grounded power cord. I don't know what the exact output ohms for the speaker are, so if you are going to put it to use, you will want to find out. Measures about 16"x 6 1/4" x 7" Weighs about 17lbs. Questions welcome

I came across this really sturdy older Peavey bass amp at an auction.I don't play a Bass but I tried one of my guitars in it and it will shake the windows.It has a cross on the grill(this looks as if it will come off easily.It must have also had another insignia on it too, but it is gone now.I live in N.C. close to Myrtle Beach so it could have been around the block a lot. It has some significant ware on the outside but it is still presentable if it's cleaned up and it has heavy steel caster wheels on it that work well.This is the third time I've listed this amp, so I'm selling it as is at a very low price.
