I do not know the wood type. However it looks to be a hard wood with a medium color stain. The rounded back gives the chair a barrel back design. Here you find a trio of vintage M1 Garand stock metal parts. A 1950s era Springfield Armory buttplate, rear swivel and short buttplate screw. The buttplate has the rounded post WWII tumbler, a good trapdoor and a gray parkerized finish over a good bit of wear and minor pitting. The underside of the part shows most of the pitting, both sides have wear under the finish. The checkering on the exterior is about 15% The rear swivel is found in good useable shape, a pretty nice part. The short screw is fair and has a very worn head. Overall construction is solid on 4 swivel whiskey barrel chairs. Table base and reversible(poker) table top. All chairs swivel and have parts of the word Bonded or other words branded on the back of every chair(see pic) Each chair is made of leather and is missing a few seat buttons. The blue chair(pictured) is in the best condition. The flat side of the table does have a couple water stains as pictured. Absolutely beautiful true Victorian bureau/dresser top mirror. It appears to be made of either rosewood or mahogany. It has a compartment with a double hinged lid at the top of the base. Please look at all pictures as this piece is not in pristine condition. But at the same time, please notice the beautiful carvings throughout. It is in overall good condition and is a true beauty. The side hand carved mirror mounts are supported by threaded wooden bolts and attached by large wooden screws(please note pictures) The oval flat piece that covers the back of the mirror was been replaced many years ago. His style is very much like that of the Victorian era dogs. The black paint appears to be Original with gold gilt spattering throughout the dog. Some of the gold paint is missing due to age and wear. He wears a signature Red Collar with gold buckle which is often seen on many of the Victorian statues such as the Staffordshire dogs and cats. The unusual factor about this piece of cast iron is that the dog’s head actually swivels 360 degrees. The head is attached on the underside by a primitive cast iron nail. Conn Circa: 1870 This Chair belonged to a Women who was a Piano Teacher& played the Organ at Church here in New England. It's showing it's age ~ as expected Was told leg had been repaired. Must have been at a joint because I can't find a break. Chair is about 36 1/2 inches tall Seat is 14 inches in diameter Back Top is about 15 inches across. THE SEAT SWIVELS AND ADJUSTS UP OR DOWN-FROM 19 1/2 INCHES LOWEST TO APPROXIMATELY 24 INCHES AT THE HIGHEST. IT IS CIRCA 190 0. THIS BEAUTIFUL STOOL HAS AN ORNATE. TURNED CENTER POST, WHICH HOLDS THE SWIVEL SEAT AND MECHANISM. THE POST HAS A ROUND, FIXED, TOP BELOW THE SWIVEL SEAT. THE CENTER POST/COLUMN IS CONNECTED TO THE FOUR ELABORATELY TURNED LEGS BY FOUR TURNED CONNECTOR SPINDLES. THE LEGS END IN CLAW FEET AND GLASS BALLS.
