Orvis Superfine Trout Bum 6' 2 wt 4 piece rod in excellent condition! This is on of the 1 oz series of Orvis rods although I believe that this one actually weights 1.2 oz. It feels extremely light in hand and is a joy to cast! It's a Full-Flex 3.0 rod using Orvis' measuring system but it's not a slow rod and casts very nicely with both 2 and 3 wt lines. I used a 2 wt double taper on it with great success. At 6' in length and 4 pieces the rod tube is less than 22" long and fits easily in carry-on luggage. This is perfect for small stream. Tight quarters fishing. The rod is in excellent condition with very few signs of wear. I went over it from tip to butt while with a damp rag to make sure there were no scratches or gouges. The cork is also in great shape as you can see from the photo. The rod sock is in very good ... morecondition with no stains. Rod#2: Model: VTC70-6 7'0" Medium Heavy 1/4-1 oz. 12-20 lb. 01B11BK baitcasting rod. This rod appears to have never been used and I can find nothing wrong with it. This auction is for a classic 1940's vintage American made. Split bamboo 8 1/2' fly fishing rod with the original sock and case, marked on the rod decals: MONTAGUE RAPIDAN- TONKIN. This genuine Tonkin Cane rod has four pieces including the extra tip. This fly rod is fully functional and in excellent condition appearing just very lightly used with no damages and still showing 100% of the original varnish. With one tip it actually measures 102 1/4" and with the other it measures 101 3/4" With the shorter one it is perfectly straight and with the other it is near very straight. The 3 piece rod weighs 5.8 ozs. with either tip and in the tube the total weight is 1 lb. 4 ozs. The sock is also in very good to excellent condition with no damages and the tube still shows the original label and light storage wear but still in very ... moregood condition. As always. It's my pleasure to offer at auction a rather Scarce 1916-1918 HEDDON NO.10 5-1/2 FT. 2/2 SPLIT BAMBOO BAIT CASTING ROD WITH THE ORIGINAL CORRECTLY MARKED BAG& LABELED/STAMPED HEDDON ALUMINUM TUBE. These earlier WWI-era rods from James Heddon's Sons are becoming extremely hard to find, especially with the original extra tip sections. The No.10 was an original member of Heddon's 1909 rod lineup and was first introduced as the"Dowagiac $10.00 Rod" It would always be one of their higher-grade models and would sell continuously through 1932. Because this example is equipped with full agate guides(first equipped so in 1916) and comes with its original extra tip section(last supplied with these models in 1918) we know it was only built from 1916-1918. Rodshaft carries a virtually complete"Dowagiac" bass decal, ... morewhile the reel seat is stamped with the early"Heddon's Dowagiac- Pat. Dec.1'08" rod& reel logo. The 1908 patent was assigned to James Heddon for the locking band reel seat. Built of very high-grade Calcutta cane and comes equipped with extra tip section, full agate guides& tip tops, highest-grade German Silver ferrules, knurled winding check& buttcap, Heddon's patent locking-band reel seat and solid cork grip& foregrip made of 1/8" cork rings. The No.10 was always about heavy cosmetics, with highly ornamented& knurled hardware and very closely wound in three colors of silk, with a staggering 175 individual wraps. I've added a photo of the original listing from Heddon's 1918 catalog. Rod is in about Very Good+ original condition, showing overall wear. Bamboo is perfect, with no splits, cracks or delamination whatsoever. All three sections are the correct length. Original varnish has what appears to be a fairly recent overcoat. All guides, tip tops, ferrules(which pop nicely when separated) winding check and buttcap are in good shape. The cork grip and foregrip show the heaviest wear although they both remain very solid. Vintage wooden fishing lure! As you can see. It has a jointed body and measures about 7 1/2 inches. The lure is in good condition although there are some cracks in the paint and some wear stains on the body. The metal parts are not rusted and over all the lure is in quite good shape. I don't know how old it is or what brand. I have had it for about 60 years and I don't remember how I got it. I do remember using it in Lake Tahoe trolling when I was very young. Up at auction is a vintage. Early 1980s, Robert August Surfboard(RA) This board’s tail section is a tri-fin, channeled bottom, single-wing, rounded pin-tail(see photos) The fins are glassed-on. And in perfect condition(no cracks and never repaired) The multi-colored. Fiberglass fins stand 5 inches tall, and are 5 inches across at the base. The channels run 37 inches long down the bottom third of the board. The entire board was glassed clear. The deck has a total of 5 laminates(1 Clark Foam laminate. 2 oval Robert August laminates, 1 standard Robert August laminate, and 1 Victory Wetsuit’s laminate) The bottom has a total of 6 Robert August laminates. All 6 Robert August laminates run down the center of the board(see photos) On each of the outside fins. An RA laminate is glassed onto the outside face(see photos) As you can see.
