With original Clark's Mile-End decal on front. Made of solid oak with original brass pulls. Top has a receptacle for the merchants ink bottle and a pen rest is carved out of the top. Top lifts to wide open storage. Five drawers below with brass knobs. Measures 35" wide x 24 1/2" deep x 16 1/2" tall. In good original condition. Some of the knobs are bent and one is broken off but can be soldered back to its fastener which is still in the hole of the drawer. Also there would have been a coin tray in the cash drawer which would have slid forward and backward with the bills going underneath. Two of the thin divider boards are missing but would be easy to replace. The lettering on the front of the drawers were hand painted and are not decals which adds a ton of character to this cabinet. Antique Wood Roll Top Lap Desk, Travel Writing Slope Box w Drawer, Nice Patina
Beautiful Antique Roll Top Lap Desk. Writing Slope Up for your consideration is this truly beautiful antique lap desk. Made of wood. I am uncertain of the actual type of wood but has nice graining. This is just great in every way, it is intact and very secure when completely shut and when you pull out the drawer at the front, it will open the roll top portion in the back to expose a three section area inside. Once the roll top is open, you can unfold the desk portion which flips open from back to front and leans securely on the open drawer for stability, the desk has a purple or a worn blue felt top with brass hinges. Again, the wood is very nice inside and out, the drawer opens nicely as does the roll top portion. There is a large transfer decoration on the wood desk top, there is also the very slight remains of one on the top of the roll ... moretop framed area. There are only two areas with minor problems, first is the lower right corner which is missing a small corner wood piece, and the upper left corner of the framing of the roll top where there is also a small piece of wood missing; otherwise, working very well and looking very good. There is a brass lock in place for the drawer but no key and the hinges are brass as well and seem to be original. It measures 12 1/8" wide, 9 1/4" deep, 5 1/2" tall. It is very clean, no major breaks, cracks, or discoloration. Nice patina, nice scroll design in wood at the top roll top framing, transfer decoration is wearing and almost gone on the top portion, and of course, the two missing pieces mentioned earlier. A very fine Adam Georgian style drop front desk by the Johnson Furnture Co. Circa 1950's? The box case has satinwood veneers, the drop front with hand painted enamel classical urn with flowers. The interior has an olive green enamel cubbyhole with two drawers, the writing frame has satinwood veneer, and green leather pad. There is a drawer with maple knobs. The tapered square legs and skirt are maple. It measures 38-1/2" tall by 26-3/4" wide by 16-1/4" deep, the drop front down is 27" from the floor. The pad is 21-1/4" by 7-1/2" Includes the lock and key. Excellent condition: all solids and veneers without chips or cracks, original finish not scratched, no ring spots. The urn and flowers is without wear. The interior is equally fine.

This Attractive writing desk is made out of solid wood, and it has a Victorian style medium/dark red/brown stain finish color that makes it look like Mahogany but it is definitely a hard wood that looks more like OAK to me. There is a slight curve to the front to the drawer sides which adds a very nice flair. The top is solid wood, not veneer. It is in it’s original condition so there are scratches on the desktop due to normal everyday wear. There is a Decorative edge that has been added to the edge of the top that may not have been original. This is a large Antique Early 1800s Mahogany Lap Desk. It is 15.75"x 9.5"x 5.75"high and weighs 7 lbs. The brass hardwear is original. The key has been lost. It has a full width dovetailed drawer with a brass locking rod. There is a lever which holds open the lid so it can be used as a book rest. There was originally a wooden rest with small pegs that fitted into brass lined holes on the top back edge to hold the book. Look carefully at the photos. No returns. This is a very well made. Heavy, desk organizer that I'm pretty sure is made of maple. It's heavy at 8 lbs. and is solid wood throughout. There's one drawer with two knobs and 4 sections inside. C.N.R Train Station Desk Change Drawer Hagersville Ontario Vintage Railroad
Old C.N.R Train Station Desk Change Drawer measuring 13 3/4 inches long-4 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall. Drawer is heavy around a kilogram and looks to be made of a hardwood. Old sticker note claiming this is from the old train station in Hagersville Ontario Canada. Piece built in two sections I believe with a nice butterfly dovetail, original as found and with old patina/could use a good wax to polish to shine, in excellent condition. A beautiful piece of good craftsmanship. This item could date from the late 1800s or early 1900s, only a guess.
