Vintage metal trinket box. Not sure but I believe the metal to be Pewter,although I think it may be a finish as some of the wear, minor surface scratches look as if there may be Brass underneath so it could be a Brass box finished in Pewter to surface, my guess as I cannot find any markings to indicate precisely. This piece has labeling on underside that includes a SKU# Vendor Code, Date Code: 066, and made in India. I am guessing the date to be 1966, this was a purchase I made at antique store and the proprietor suggested the same, 1966. This is in good shape for age, I see no dents, although there are some surface scratches, inside looks clean, very heavy piece, fitted lid, odd shape, 8-sided, Hexagon? Sorry, but I did poorly with geometry. Sewing- Rocking- Nursing Chair. I'd call it a medium brown color. A Press Back Chair. It doesn't appear to be carved. The cane seat is in good condition. This is on a smaller scale. I believe they called them a Sewing Chair, it's lower than a regular chair, good for Nursing and kids to sit on too. It's used but in good condition. Very few nicks, dents, etc. See the pictures for any details and the measurements. You'll notice it has two stretchers all the way around. Some have only one stretcher in front and back. For your consideration we have a Jumbo Antique Press Back Rocking Chair. Dating from the 1890's to early 1900's. This is a very fine chair that has been kept in terrific shape for many years. We purchased it from a family in our local area by Detroit Michigan. this chair has a double large press and spindles. The bentwood arms are beautiful. All that is needed is a good cleaning and polishing. The cane is very serviceable and the rock sits very well. The rocker measures 39" tall by 21" wide and is 18" up from the floor to the seat. The press carving pieces are 8 1/2" in height. The seat itself is 20 1/2" wide by 18" deep. There are no cracks or breaks to report that we have found. The only piece missing to make a complete toplink is the bar that attaches to both of these and they are available reproduction for around $80.
