Everything but the table legs and the cross piece(not installed in picture) is engineered wood. The fit is off, so you will find gaps around drawers and not so smooth drawer pull outs. I have doubts that I can move this desk in the future-it's really heavy and the pieces that connect the left side to the right side are rather flimsy. Here is a vintage sunburst Epiphone Les paul Special II body. This is a Solid Wood model. I have had several of these over the years that were made of plywood but this one is all solid wood. I have checked the electronics cavity and the neck pocket and its all real wood. Normal play wear(faint scratching from strumming) there is one good ding on the back(in the pic with the pencil pointing at it) other than that its a very clean unit. comes with everything. Rare 60 Year Old Hawaiin Style Soprano Ukulele Uke Vintage Solid Wood Body Japan
This is an early ukulele. Is about 60 years old and was made in Japan. It has what looks like a spruce top and mahogany sides and back. It measures 21" long, and is a soprano ukulele. There is three mother of pearl dot markers on the fret board. The frets looks good, as well as the neck. It has good low action and is easy to play. The tuners where replaced. The nut and bridge both look original and in good condition. The body is made of solid wood. These old solid wood ukuleles are getting hard to find. They sound grea t once they are played for a while and the grain opens up. The top and bottom have some scratches and nicks. But I don't see any cracks. The sides have cracks where the inside braces are pushing out. Typical when wood shrinks over many years. Th is ukulele has a loud powerful sound. This auction is for a Vintage Solid Mahogany Barometer. Hydrometer by Airguide. Brass trim. numbered on the back# 431. Sticker says Genuine Mahogany grows only in the West Indies, Tropical American and West Coast Africa. Mahogany Association Inc. The thermometer is missing from this piece but could easily be replaced. In good vintage condition and working with some surface scratches on the back. Wonderful mid 19th century solid wood finial. This is a remarkable piece of architectural salvage. This phenomenal piece came from MI. I bought it from another antique dealer in NYC. In the spring of 2011. I was using this as a decor piece in our home. A collection of finials we had displayed on top of our entertainment center. Needless to say the decor has/is being changed. Found in a barn of a older farm estate. This auction is for a pair of unique custom industrial type wooden frame parts cabinets with drawers constructed of heavier solid brass/copper that has a pleasing patina. The bodies of cabinets measures roughfully 12" tall by 5" wide by 6" deep. The drawers ride on metal rails inside the cabinets[ see pictures. The drawers measure 5" x 4" x 2" deep. The weight of each drawer varies from a low of 10.2oz to a high of 13.3oz. making these heavier cabinets each weighing close to 6lb. Each drawer pull has a slot for labeling. When found the wood frames were dry and dirty so I coated each with a wood oil. they are all set to go to work again and should last a lifetime. As there are no other markings than the label, it is anywhere from 1948 to late 1960's given Geib"Economo" case badge and Uke label style. No cracks, No seam separation. Worst scratch is only a superficial scratch on top, zoom in on pictures#3 and#5) and a small nick on bridge. Very superficial/minor ... morepaint/binding scuffing. Minimal Peghead wear. Neck is nearly Mint. Great, even, solid wood tone. Great action. No bridge lift. While I have seen these before, mention is not made that the fret board overlay and frets are the heavy gauge Pyralin resin. There is minimal wear of any facet of this instrument. Case is a post 1948 Geib, formerly Geib and Schaeffer) Chicago made, Economo, chipboard case in Excellent++ condition with only some minor Tolex scuffing on overhang. This listing offers the child's roll top desk. Since I'm uncertain of the age. I won't mislead anyone. I was told it was late 19th century, but again, please judge from the pictures.
