My research indicates this manual was published in 1934, but there is no copyright date listed. John Lucas& Co put out a series of six books, each treating a distinct branch of painting. This manual has great graphics on the front and back covers. In January of 1930, the Sherwin-Williams Company acquired control of the Lucas Paint Company. John Lucas and Company was officially dissolved in January of 1956. The name continued to appear on labels for many years because of the company's outstanding reputation. This manual has 28 pages and measures 4.5" X 6" It is in pretty good condition for its age.
