This came from a shop that closed it's doors that had 4 systems. There are 10 vacuum bins plus 1 vacuum pile feeder bin for cover stock. Unit turns on and will run thru setup. Pile moves up and down. Bins will set and start feed. Have not run with stock. There was damage to the plastic covers and one PVC elbow as shown in pics when strapped in truck. Machine is located in Land O Lakes. Fl. We ran several jobs and it performed perfectly. There are(10) bins on this collator. It looks enormous in the photo. However it is actually under 8' tall so it fits in most normal rooms. What most folks don’t know about the Watkiss collator is the extremely rare ability to MULTI-FEED. MULTI-SET, MIXED FEED, AND INSERT digitally and offset printed sheets, coated and un-coated from 5.5” x 8.3” up to 12.6” x 19” and 60-240gsm. Jobs can be memorized and easily rerun in the future. Most basic collators do not pull more than(1) one sheet from any bin at any time. Watkiss SlimVAC Collator 15-bin Multi-feed Programmable
This was purchased used by us for $18.000 about ten years ago. It has been in a church print shop for that time until now. We lost our part-time pressman to a full-time job at a large print company about 5 years ago, but before that had spent approximately $2000 on all new belts which were installed. We also replaced a number of the rollers in the back, along with replacing all the individual filters. It has been sitting unused(and unplugged) since then. We just plugged it in and it started up just fine. It is a 15 bin collator with lots of extras. Including, manuals, parts lists, full case of staple wire, etc. There is a well known technician who travels for training and maintenance of these machines(we can recommend) who had updated the software for us. He also trained our pressman before he quit. So it goes. The technician.
