Bound in swirl patter boards with leather tips and leather spine. Printing and designs in gold on the spine. Printing against black title plates on the spine. Most of the plates are worn or chipped away. Some surface wear and light spotting. Wear around the edges and corners.Faded a bit on the spine. Someone has pasted an obituary for Longfellow with a date of 1882 written on it. Probably from a newspaper. There is a small bookstore sticker pasted in ... moreside the front cover. Swirl pattern endpapers. A name and date are written on the first blank page. The binding is weak with a few sections loose and some pages-including the title page-loose at the front. This auction is for a trio of absolutely gorgeous Minton plates. They are lovely examples of the Fulham pattern and were designed by renowned artist John Wadworth. Circa 1912. This is a wonderfully detailed Art Deco pattern trimmed in gold. Each plate measures approximately 8 7/8" w and has the Minton mark as well as the name of the designer. All three of the plates have some crazing and a some tiny areas of loss and faint discoloration. They remain absolutely stunning and are certain to create a beautiful display! Hedges, but was defeated. Nice Vintage Brass Gold Tone Compact! It is stamped WADSWORTH- Made in USA. This compact has a lovely art deco design on one side and the other one is engraved with"GMP" It still has some of the powder inside along with the puff. It has a mirror but needs to be glued back on and the powder puff shows some wear. It is in good condition but shows some age related wear. It has some scratches and wear to the outer case.
