This guitar is a very well crafted three-tone sunburst hollow body that bears a striking resemblance to a Gibson ES-335. This is a pretty interesting guitar.It appears to be an early Pedulla Guitar! Im guessing 1979ish.it is the EMS-1 model.It comes with a Calzone ATA Flight Case(one of the latches is broken on the case)The guitar itself has been played. And shows some wear, but is in really good condition considering its age.and the play wear that is has is perfect! Just enough of the finish on the back of the neck is starting to play through, and it feels great! Frets are in good shape(24 OF THEM) and I just set it up wth 10's, and it plays really great.It has a 25.5" scale, and a flatter fingerboard raidius.The body is in 3 pieces.the middle section of the body has the neck, and it is neck through construction.In other words, it is all 1 piece of wood! I'm not sure what the body wood is, maybe maple? They appear to be in all original condition with the only thing missing is one candelabra cover. They are being sold as found complete with dirt and dust and need a good cleaning. They are made of a heavy gold colored metal what type of metal I am not certain but no magnet will stick to them. For bids today we have an old sea dog that is ready to settle down here on land.it's a Masthead ships lantern! This lantern served its youth on a local fishing vessel before being stored away. Having had a working life this piece isn't pristine or shiney but it does have an honest covering of history which makes it very attractive. Marked"Masthead" the only other clue to its origin is a plaque beside that with a small village by the sea and the number"1109" We assumed that this was the makers mark but can't be sure. Having been functional this lantern has fixing points at the bottom and top as well as glass guards and a thick covering of sealant on the inside to keep the water from the flame. Obviously it hasn't ... morebeen converted to electricity as the original gas housing remains. Condition wise it does have rubbing. Patina, some house paint, corrosion, chips to the bottom of the glass, a small hole in the bottom, obvious weld and repair marks etc but it's all these imperfections that make it the perfect maritime decoration. It plays and sounds absolutely amazing! This guitar has always been kept in it's case and humidified. I've added a tortoise brown pick guard. The case is in great condition, with only a small white scuff on top. I will be adding a set of Taylor ebony/brass tuning knobs(1 of them is not functioning well) One thing that I'll point out is that there is a small amount of the clear coat, the size of a small grain of rice, missing on the top, by the edge. it didn't show up in pictures. I have done a lot of research on this bowl, I know it is from the early 1900's and it is an Orginal piece. From what i have read about this bowl it is rare because of it's color and the cobblestones on the bottom, there are others out there similar to this but not the electric purple amethyst, that is the one that has a lot of the gold color.
