I cannot get the top off and it probably needs some penetrating oil to help loosen it. The plunger is not moving either, but the cap and knob at the end are removable. The glass globe is ribbed but it's hard to see in the pictures. No chips or cracks in either the glass or the metal wall mount bracket. The glass globe is clean with no chips and even has tiny air bubbles to show the vintage of the glass. The chrome plating on the metal bracket has scattered pitting and/or bubbling but overall not bad(see pictures) In good working order. Presented for auction is a vintage 2-piece celluloid vanity set that consists of a covered soap dish container and a powder shaker jar. The two pieces are nicely decorated with pink roses and light blue dots. The powder jar does not appear to have been used very much. But the soap holder still has some residue of soap on it and it also has a soap fragrance when opened. The soap dish is slightly darker; most likely due to its having had more use than the powder jar. The powder jar stands 4" high and the soap dish is 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" in size. This estate sale find is an antique vintage Wall Mount Metal Soap Dispenser. It says"Tiltype Soaper" on it. It needs to be cleaned up. The surface metal is foggy. Scratched and has some paint scuff on it. It needs to be cleaned up or perhaps rechromed. It swings nicely& has 3 mounting holes. It weighs approx 1-3/4 pounds, the"ball" part of it has a diameter of approx 4" There is some powder in it that I can see when looking into the dispenser hole, maybe powdered soap?
