Transistor radios.With plastic base. The second is a tiny trimmer. With a metal base but the stand-off. Is ceramic. Marked WELWYN. ENGLAND. The third is the double ganged. Jackson type with an all metal construction. The rest have ceramic bases as stated. Some are straight variable capacitors, Whist 5 are of the"butterfly" type. I.e. Build-It! Bargain - Vintage multi-section Air variable Capacitors
Build-It! Bargain- Offering these Vintage multi-section Air variable Capacitors. The R/C 534 119 has three sections. 8 stator plates and 9 rotor plates. My measurement shows approx. 280 pf each. Frame is 3 1/4" x 1 7/8" x 1 5/8" with a 3/4" shaft. Has 3 drilled and tapped mounting holes on bottom. The 2-section Hammarlund unit is a bit unusual- only one I can remember seeing. Has separate rotors with a shaft out each end and a common stator connection. The section with 7 stator and 7 rotor plates measures about 100 pf; the other section has 6 stator and 6 rotor plates and measures about 80 pf. Frame is 2 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" with 7/8" shafts. Two drilled and tappep mounting ears on the bottom. That's the good stuff! The other item is a'freebie' Looks like it was ripped from an AM/FM radio; ... moresome plates are shorted. The front section might be usable. Included mostly for the tuning wheel.

These are a group of steel mounting brackets removed from some vintage tube equipment. They will accomodate the small'APC' style variable air capacitors originated by Hammarlund. The holes for the 2 mounting screws are about.65" on-center. There are 2 brackets which will hold 5 caps each. 2 will hold 4 each. 3 will hold 2 each and 1 only holds 1 cap.

OG5551- Vintage 2-section Air Variable Capacitor with Piston Trimmer Capacitors. Front capacitor is ~ 13 to 150 pf; 11 stator& 13 rotor plates. Section length is 1" on the ceramic shaft. The smaller unit is ~ 13 to 70pf. With 10 stator, 11 rotor plates. Section length is 7/8" on shaft. There is a piston trimmer capacitor mounted on a ceramic plate, attached to the stator; capacitance measurements were taken across these trimmers, which has the threaded shaft attached to the stator. There is no DC connection to the rotor plates; the shaft is ceramic. Three screws hold the trimmer assembly to the frame. The frame is 3" x 2" x 2, with two mounting studs and a tapped angle bracket. Legs' with four tapped angle brackets extend on the other side. Apparently some form of tuned circuitry was located there. The shaft is. ... more3/8" dia. with a dual flexible extension. Entire length as shown is 5 1/4" weight is 1 lb 2.9 oz. Now, the shaft does bind in part of the rotation. When I started, the front section would short out, until I loosened the screws on the ceramic plate and adjusted it. The plates are close together. But the flexible shaft coupler is worth the starting price alone, and you could remove the piston trimmers and use them in another circuit. Or maybe you just use it as a unique paper weight! Or get the bearing problem cleaned up, and use it in a TUNER! Lowest cost shipping to buyer.

OG5767- VHF Receiver Tuner/Mixer: 3 air variable capacitors on ceramic shaft- This is the'front end' of a receiver that I think covers 100- 156 Mhz. There was a 2nd tube socket; parts missing. Each capacitor section has 8 stator plates. 9 rotor plates, with an adjustable air variable trimmer. The frame is 4" shaft length is 5" The gear is spring-loaded dual gear. 2" wide, 2 1/2" high with 5/8" mounting studs on one end, angle tab on the other. I was not able to measure the capacitance because of the attached coils and complexity of the design. You should be able to finish stripping it out and use it as an amplifier/oscillator/mixer, as it was designed, or use it for other purposes. 1 lb 13 oz. Variable Air Capacitors Caps Selector Switches Dials Ceramic Crystal Sockets Eic
Hi.Up for auction I have an assortment of vintage used parts there are six vintage variable capacitors in photo#1.These seem like they would work great for a Crystal,Ham,CB radio or a whatever project.These are all gently used capacitors.1 measured 6 to 274.2 measured 8 to 135.3 measured 3 to 136.4 measured 4 to 78. These measurements are approximate readings on my tester but your results may vary just slightly.I did not test the other two smaller ones. Next in photo#2 I have 17 assorted untested used vintage selector switches.These came out of various test equipment like Eico,B&K Hickok etc. Also there are two Eico Dials& a pointer in photo#3.The dials have the numbers 89561&89562 written on them.I believe these came off of some Eico test equipment. The hole diameter is approximately 1/2" on the dials and a 1/4" on ... morethe pointer.The dials are about 4 3/8" in diameter and the pointer is about 2 1/4" long.And lastly there are some new vintage ceramic crystal sockets plus four Wright crystals in photo#4.The frequency of the crystals are 27.125MC,27.215MC,27.015MC,27.255MC.The crystal sockets have a big M embossed in them I don't think it's a big W. Early Radio Interstage Transformers w Built in Air Gap Variable Capacitors
I really don't know what these are for. They are obviously transformers and there is good continuity as you would expect. There were designed with a base on which are two metal strips whose distance from each other are set by a screw. They are separated by a piece of mica. They are about 2 inches in diameter. Inside the cans is a potted material. Again. They check OK with an ohmmeter. You get both of them. And obviously. I'm not positive at to what they were meant for.
