Orvis Golden Eagle Fiberglass Fly Rod (Phillipson Epoxite)
Here is a(Like New) Orvis Golden Eagle 8' 2/1 6wt. It is in absolutely beautiful condition. The rod has had one owner and was very lightly fished when new and then stored safely for decades. These rods were made on Phillipson epoxite blanks and are the pinacle of a good fiberglass rod. For the Orvis or Phillipson collector this is a must have. The rod. As with all Orvis rods, is overated and stated to be a 7wt. The rod is not good with a 7wt line, it feels tippy. However, if you put a DT6 cortland peach444 on this rod, it truly is magificent. Some people claim to use this rod for bass. I used it on a spring creeks in WY and it was the perfect rod for medium size rising trout. Full flexing, very delicate presentations, and a true delight to cast. The 8' rod seems to pop up less than the shorter Eagles and is just as rare in this condition. ... moreOriginal bag and tube. Everything fits snug on the cork hadle and the metal sleeve fits nice in grip. The eyes and wraps on the blank are all original and are in good condition and are not even bent. Up for bid is a vintage Fenwick fiberglass fly rod. The model# is FF75. Which is in the desireable 7 1/2' rod length, weight is 3 1/4oz,and is rated as AFTMA line# 5-6. Rod is in good condition, has been fished, but plenty of life left in her. Reel seat bottom cap is missing but other then a good cleaning it is good to go. All wraps are in excellent condition, no rust on guides and look as good as new. This one-piece rod tapes out to 63 1/2" and is in excellent+(or better) condition. Showing a few light scuffs. It is model 953 and is rated for 6 to 12 lb. line. The original guides and wrappings are also in excellent + to near mint condition. It was made in the USA and has serial number: P 135809. I tried to show the serial number in the last picture. But it is hard to see. Recommended lure weights are 1/ 8 to 5/ 8 ounces. Though not given. It feels like a medium/fast taper with a medium to heavy action. The original butt cap is nice. Fiberglass Fly Rod 7'0", 4 Wt., 2 Piece
This rod was built about 12 years ago by a former fly shop owner in Mt Horeb. Wisconsin. It is built on a blank that was either a Fisher or Sceptre blank. It fishes best with a DT4F line, but will handle a WF5F as well. Very nice rod, casts well, no damage. Comes with the green rod bag in the pictures, but no case. Will make someone a great rod for small streams with lots of cover. I bought it new from the man who built it and have fished it perhaps a half dozen times.

Very nice old combo- as found condition- could use a cleaning- click works but I don't know enough about this item to say everything works properly. The reel turns forward and backwards- I thought it should have some type of anti-reverse. But then again I don't know. Both glass' on the end caps are in good condition as are the handles. I could find no ID on the rod- 54" overall length. Cork handle with plastic end cap on cast metal handle. The rod itself is fiberglass with all metal guides- everything is in good condition and shows normal wear for its age- worn paint, nothing broke or damaged. Please observe the photos closely and ask any questions before committing- all sales are final.

Curtis Creek Stalker fiberglass four piece fly rod
This is a Curtis Creek Stalker four piece 8 1/2' fiberglass fly rod for a 6 wt. line. I am unfamiliar with the maker of this rod as the only marking is Curtis Creek Stalker on the rod shaft. But it is of very good quality with a brown blank and dark green wraps. It has spigot ferrules of the Fenwick or Winston type, a black down locking reel seat with two ceramic stripper guides, the second being smaller than the first. It comes with a heavy flannel rod bag marked Early Winters and the original plastic tube. It is in excellent condition showing very little use. I would further classify this rod as being in VERY GOOD/EXCELLENT condition. There are a very few surface marks on the rod blank indicating some use of this rod. But I found no thing that would indicate damage to the strength of the rod. The cork handle has the original plastic cover still included, but at some point it has been sliced and removed. The ferrule is positive and tight. The stripping guides, snake guides and the tip guide are in great shape and solid. The wraps are also in excellent condition. There is no cloth rod bag or rod tube. It has a very attractive metallic deep blue color to the blank. The rod carries the following designators- B– GBG– GBF– 7” In researching this rod, I found indications that some people fish a 7-weight line and others fish an 8-weight line on this rod. I think that this would be an excellent rod for bass fishing or for small steelhead. Others might find it an interesting rod for carp. Garcia bought the Conolon line of rods from Narmco in 1960. Production continued into the 1980's. My best guess is that this rod was built in the mid-to late-1960's.
