M. Klein& Sons U.S.A. is clearly visible on the grip(along with the model#1604-20) and the name is still somewhat visible on the hook, please see photos. Strap is NOT leather, though it may look like it in some of the photos. It's a heavy woven strapping worn smooth from use. This is a pair of used original Smith and Hemenway company also known as S& H Red Devil Linemen cable grip pullers. This company was in business from the late 1800s up into the 1920s whenever they were bought out by Crescent tool.
