Up for sale is a Realistic 200 channel direct entry programmable scanner. Model 20-303. This unit comes with 6 rechargeable ni-cad AA batteries. But can be used with alkaline batteries as well. I was able to power it on and charge the batteries with my own power adapter plugged into the scanner, though this auction includes the scanner and batteries only. It scans the 200 channels rapidly, and locks on to signals very well. I was able to pick up a few radio transmissions within moments of turning it on. This scanner comes from a storage unit. I have found a manual for it online. And will be happy to print and enclose it if you wish. It has very little wear and appears to have hardly been used. PLEASE NOTE! This is a nice vintage pair of Walkie Talkies by Realistic in the original boxes with the original Styrofoam and the original instructions. These are citizen band transceivers. And are model TRC-89 3-Channel 300m W. These came from an estate, and they are very clean as you can see in the photos. I cannot get them to work on channels B or C, but possibly because I am not familiar with the way that they operate. They work on channel A, but one of them does not receive the audio message occasionally; that seems to be related to the push button on the side, but I am not sure what the cause is. To someone who knows what they are doing with these, they would probably just need some tweaking and would probably work well, because they look very nice and have apparently been well cared for. Each transceiver uses 6 AA batteries(not included) The boxes ... moreshow some wear and are taped together, but they could be easily separated. The walkie talkies themselves show no noticeable wear, and even the battery compartments are very clean and nice. The antennas are in good condition and go up and down well.
