The cross bars are made in Sweden(I believe by Thule) and securely mount to SAAB 9-5 wagons with roof rails(won't work without installed roof rails) allowing for the mounting of various roof rack accessories. The bars attach to the roof rails via the pictured feet which can be adjusted depending on the width of your existing roof rack( ~43 inches to a minimum of ~36 inches) The overall length of the bars are ~48.5 inches. It will accommodate a variety of bicycle types(road bike. Mountain bike, hybrid, etc. The great thing about this rack is that it allows you to securely carry a bike without taking the wheels off. Very fast off/on and very secure. I live in West Texas and its quite windy. This rack has stood up to 7+ hr drives with no issues. it is missing the rear Thule cap on the rail, which always came off when you rolled the bike off and on the rack. Its a non-functioning piece, but nonetheless is missing.
