I have always had a soft spot for a ratty Tweed amp. I like seeing them become furry around the edges. I like to look at them and wonder what their story is. Tweeds wear in a beautiful way. This'51 Fender Pro Amp(5A5) probably has a great story to tell. It appears to have once been painted a blueish-black. And at some point an attempt was made to remove the paint job. What is left is a funky tweed with shiny tattoos of a previous color. Grill and logo are original, handle has been replaced. The guts have been updated with Alessandro and Spague components. Antique stained glass pieces taken from huge panel - 2 sets of 16 1/2"X 23 1/2"
I purchased a large antiques stained glass panel about 7 years ago with the intent of taking it apart and then rebuilding smaller panels using the pieces. It never happened so I am going to sell off most of the pieces(I'll keep a few for me just in case I can find the time to use them) The first picture shows 1 set of pieces that when assembled will measure 16 1/2" x 23 1/2" This auction is for two sets. The last pictures are of what half the panel looked like before I removed the leading. The original window was about 14 feet tall. These pieces will need some cleaning. I have found. Believe it or not, that steel wool works best. It will not scratch the glass. Th anks for looking. And good luck bidding!
