It is made of oak and assembled with brass screws. The spools rods are fiberglass and rounded at the end. It will hold 198 normal spool of thread that measures 1½" across and 1 ¾” tall doubled up on each spindle. The entire thread rack measures approx 53" x 19" x 3¾” You can either mount it to the wall or set in on the sewing table against the wall. Notice in the picture the separate piece of decorative oak top center of the pictures, this piece is used to hold the rack on a table table against the wall, or if wall mounted, just a a decoration to make it look nice. I consider th ese parts to be in good used condition- they were tested by sewing before the machine was parted out. And they seem to be complete and functional. The two black pieces with the numbers and markings have lines and digits that are all sharp and clear. Gnutti solid axle 3 piece low flange hubs 120mm OLD 36 hole French thread used
This used low flange Gnutti Export Italy low flange hubset has chrome damage on the barrels. Mostly light speckles of chrome loss on the front hub. There are spoke marks on the alloy flanges and tarnish on the DFV Goliath wingnuts. Please see the photos. This Gnutti hubset dates from the 1950's and remains in amazingly good condition. They are three piece hubs with chrome steel barrels and alloy flanges. Similar to the Campagnolo and Fratelli Brivio hubs of the era. The spoke holes are alternately recessed in the flanges, a thoughtful touch that shows their quality. I cleaned and regreased the axlesets. There is no pitting on the cones or cups, all the parts appear to be original and they still turn smoothly with no play. The wingnuts are DFV Goliath. They were removed from a bicycle branded"Campione" and it is described as ... morea Franco Italian model. The threading is French and it was equipped with a J. Moyne french freewheel. Up for bid are two flange nuts for an arbor or whatever else they can be used for. The round nut has Siox Tools stamped on it and the hex nut has no markings. Both have 5/8-11 threads. I am assuming the round nut is for inside use and it sets location of tool on arbor and the second Hex head nut secure the cutting/sanding tool. Schrillo Aero-Tool, Thread Equipment Co. and I am certain others. In other words this is not a matched set but a complete set anyway. 14 thread sizes from 1/4"20 to 1-1/2"6 in both male& female ring gauges. The gauges were stored poorly and the faces of most of the ring gauges got rusty but that corrosion never contacted the threads. The rust was chemically stripped in a solution that removes no metal but can impart a blackened surface. Here is an evening gown to make any vintage collector's heart swoon! Acquired on a recent buying trip to London. This 1930's Bias-cut Silk Charmeuse Satin dress is adorned with a loose collar that accentuates the shoulders and drapes gracefully down the low-cut back. But the jacket is what really caught my eye. The design on the silk velvet jacket with gold metallic thread detailing is so very Art Nouveau! Not without flaws, this dress and jacket are still wearable and very worthy of restoration- and the fit and design are worth studying and replicating. This ensemble epitomizes glamorous dressing in the era between the two World Wars. It bears the label"Marie Lott. 13 Princes St. Hanover Sq. W1" The dress is a deep ivory-cream charmeuse silk satin with the matte side, not the lustrous side, out. It is bias-cut and has two ... morediagonal darts below the bust which extend to about an inch from the waist for a great body-hugging fit. At the top of the dress is a netting to which the'collar' is attached. The collar is backed with a tissue-silk and is merely tacked down at the side front and back. There are several places where the collar needs to be re-tacked down and one where it has torn the netting at the top of the dress. Under the collar there is a faint number'1463' penciled in. Perhaps this was used in a movie? Because of the bias cut, this dress would likely fit a range of sizes from a Small to a small Medium, however please go by the measurements below. Measurements are taken lying flat. So please double where applicable: Bust: 17" Waist: 15-1/2" Hips: 19-1/2" Shoulders Across Back: open Total length.
