This is a great vintage leather jacket from the 1960s. Tag reads: Golden Threads Outerwear. Brill Bros, Millwaukee Size 18" This jacket is a nice chocolate brown color and is in very good condition(a small section of the stitching on the right sleeve is loose as pictured) All the leather fringe is in very good condition. The liner is in very good condition. The tag says size: 18 Coat Measurements: Full Length measurement from top of coat to bottom: 25.5" plus 5.5" fringe Arms from Shoulder to sleeve end: 23.5" Arm pit to armpit across the front 20.5" Waist across the front 18.5" I would consider this jacket a men's size Medium Aloha. Antique Clark's Spool Cotton Thread Drawer Glass Inserts in Front, 2 Drawers WOW
Antique Clark's Cotton Spool Drawer. Glass Inserts in Drawer Fronts, 2 Drawers It is 22" wide. By 15.5" deep by 7.5" tall. There are two drawers. With unbroken painted glass inserts with the name, Clark's O.N.T. Spool Cotton. This is an awesome piece of history. Probably late 1800's. I've never seen one like it anywhere. It is amazing and unique! It has brass pulls on each drawer. One drawer has dividers. The other does not. The top is a little bowed toward the middle. And there are some really old scratches in the top. Please enlarge the photo to see the detail of that area. I am attaching two photos of a back corner(last photo) Here you can see that there is an approximate 3mm gap between the top and sides. The other corners are about the same. This is an attractive card for Clark's Mile End Spool Cotton Thread. This company was huge and was based in East Newark. New Jersey. Their O.N.T. is often seen and that stands for Our New Thread. Sewing cards are common and one of the most popular items of old cards to collect, in part to their availability but also due to the hundreds of varieties and quality of most of the cards. This card is apparently of a young man who is a sailor and notice the ocean and the boat as part of the illustration. Females are much more commonly seen in Victorian cards. This card is in good general condition and I think companies that had trade marks had an advantage to identify their product but so many companies didn't have trade marks and I cannot imagine why as there certainly was no shortage of imaginative artists.
