Here is a very nice 4 wheel grinder made by Fike metals of Mo. I am a glass blower and I bought it to do some etching on blown glass pieces but the opening was not big enough to do the job I wanted to do.It is in very good condition the wheels and bearings are all good and it isn't all rusted or beat up.It has predrilled holes in the cover for liquid cutting attachments and to mount shields there are is a fitting and a valve and belt and an extra pulley with it.It is not made with a self contained motor so you need to mount a motor to drive it that is why the pulley is with it.I would say a quarter to one third horse motor would work well.The motor is mounted remotely so it does not get all wet if you use it as a wet grinder this would be an ideal piece for a jewelry crafts person or even a professional jeweler.Shipping might seem a little ... morehigh but this is a very heavy(probably 30 or 40 lbs) and well made American grinder/ polisher that was made to last.Judging from the stones and the condition it probably hasn't seen much use.It came from an estate sale here in Penna.It is about 18" long 11" front to back and has 6" wheels.

Buddy Rhodes Triad Planetary Concrete Wet/Dry Grinder/Polisher - used once!
This is a fantastic grinder/polisher. I used it for one job- grinding and polishing out my basement floor. It's the best thing of it's kind on the market from my experience- here's why I say that. I initially rented the industry-standard handheld planetary polisher to do the job- a much more expensive unit(over 3k) the motor on that unit burned out after 2 days work. Because the gears got jammed up and the grinder motor didn't shut down fast enough. The rental company gave me another one- brand new, it lasted another week or so before it's gears jammed and I gave up and returned it. I bought this Buddy Rhodes machine thinking that I would have to baby it through the rest of the job(about 60% left) And hoping and praying that it would make it. Not only did it perform with flying colors. There was no jamming of gears; it ... moreground and polished better than the more expensive unit; it has speed control(the other one was fixed at the speed that the manufacturer thought was the optimal speed- wrong! you need to vary the speed depending on what kind of wheels you're using. Whether your working wet or dry, etc) the water hose didn't constantly leak like the other. this grinder allows you to get much closer to a wall than the others I've seen. you could conceivably take the grinder off of this unit and use it as a single-head edger. Although I recommend buying a separate grinder for that cause it's a job taking this apart. a single head grinder is only about $100 brand new. and best of all- this unit is much lighter and more compact than any other planetary grinder- working on a vertical surface it's much easier to handle. I think the reason that the gears on this are so stable is that they're concealed better than the other units I've seen. This is a guard that came off one of our polishers when we decommissioned it. These are hard to find and Its good to keep on hand- because the original ones always get lost. And these need to be on the machines to pass OSHA inspections. The polishers were the old school kind made by Alpha and same brand as Barranca. Last image shows type of machine this was on. I bought this for a fun project. A 3ft x 2ft concrete table top. It works great! The grinder pads go from 50 grit to 3000 grit. The hand pads are diamond but also and go from 60 to 600 grit.
