This is a wonderful antique brass and wood Russian samovar tea pot from late 19th century.The samovar vessel is completely made by hand from brass and wood has a very stylish early design. Made from thick very heavy brass.The long spout has a stylized design with a very ornate solid brass spout plug.The base is a thick brass and footed with beautiful ornate feet.There are two carrying handles with thick ornate brass mounts with cut wooden handles. they swivel and stop when they get to a 90% angle.There are two removable pieces to the top of this samovar. The larger lid has stunning antique wooden handles made of brass and wood and large brass rivets holding them in place. LARGE CERAMIC DRINK DISPENSER - ICED TEA, WATER, BEER, ROOT BEER, ETC. - ANTIQUE
This ceramic keg-shaped drink dispenser probably saw duty in a general store in the country or some old soda fountain. You could restore it to beverage service or plug the bung hole and use it as a really unusual vase! It will likely hold 3 to 4 gallons of beer. Water, ice tea, rootbeer, or whatever you like. The wooden bung shown in the photos is included. This is a heavy piece, weighing 12 pounds before packing. There are 2 issues you need to reckon with when you decide how to use this old piece. First. There is no cover- it was either lost during the years or perhaps never had one. Second, the bung works fine but is loose- the cork sleeve holding it in place has disintegrated so you will need to replace it to have a good seal. or simply plug the hole with a cork and it will hold water.
